Tonight's the last late game for 5 months.

  • Look, Madrigal has been bad. But if you’re already at ‘it’s time to cut bait and bring in ROUGNED ODOR’ you need to step off the ledge.

Just let Robert go back to being aggressive earlier in the count...now it seems he's thinking too much again and he's probably identifying more with the second thirty games of his debut.

Has an OPS under 600, granted, that changes dramatically the first couple of weeks of the season.

It's hard to criticize the White Sox for not signing Paxton or T.Walker from the left-hand side if Rodon's going to keep this up...of course, the odds of that are...?

My god Abreu looks bad also. No runs in first inning this year for the Sox.

Should have been 2-1 and not 1-2, what a joke.

Awful ABs

Likely an unpopular opinion, but I'd like to regularly see Grandal bat in the top 3. You know he isn't going to expand the zone and he's always going to make pitchers work. All of these aggressive hitters allow for such low pitch innings when hits aren't strung together.

First pitch was a strike called a ball

Oh good, another ump with an expanded strike zone.  Hopefully Gio gets it too.

The first pitch to Abreu was called a ball but was a strike.

It's hard to believe Paxton can look this good when his December velocity was down.

France, Trammell and Torrens all former Padres, fwiw.

France had his moments (certainly on the offensive side) but really didn't have a clear future position, just like Josh Naylor, who was traded to the Indians.

Trammell, the top Reds' prospect with all the physical tools in the world but a very questionable hit tool.

Ok who the fuck is a Ty France?  I follow the M's a bit, I have no idea.

Holy cow this ump sucks

Where the fuck was that?

What is this strike zone...

These umps have been SO bad. Good fucking lord.

He hit like Babe Ruth in 2019 for the Padres in AAA. Was traded to the Mariners last year in the Austin Nola trade and he's raked ever since.

Benetti said they’ve been good this year

What did Benetti just say?  Have I been watching different ball games?

Going from Rodon last night at 5 to Gio tonight at 1 is just not fair.  Let's hope it continues.

That might be the sharpest slider I’ve seen from him

It's incredible.  It's EVERY NIGHT!

Giolito starting out this game in the 93-94 mph range.

Yeah, I heard that... I've seen so many blown calls. Wtf is he talking about? Benetti has been as good as the umps.
