some of the worst BABIP luck I've ever seen to start a year as well.  It's uncanny at this point.

Everything Boston hits falls

Some brilliant managing by La Russa tonight.

2020 sucks

2020-21 sucks for myriad reasons except for that 32-15 start, no no and Giolito/Crochet/Robert in the postseason.

They're 1-6 in games decided by 3 runs or less and the only reason that's not about to be 1-7 is because TLR brought in Ruiz instead of literally any other option in the bullpen. This team doesn't have the talent to overcome totally incompetent managing.

Bases loaded walk, and then a double

Knew it.

We stuck with another bad manager for 5 - 6 years. Thanks JR

Saddest part is that JR will never admit he made a mistake with LaRussa. We’re stuck with a lot of talent with an anchor attached to them by poor ownership

Pathetic

They were unlikely to mount a rally against Barnes, but Eaton’s also lost a couple of steps in RF as well.

Hopefully it's only a 1 year situation.

Omg just get an out already

This team is so aggravating.

I'll admit this slow start is kind of sad/annoying. So many guys starting slowly plus the injuries to TA (he's back) and Eloy have killed the Sox so far. Team doesn't pass the eye test yet.

Barnes won’t pitch now

This sucks man. So many hopes for this team all fucked by ownership and a drunk for a manager. Can't invest this much time on a shit product anymore

I agree, but punting 1 run games is completely inexcusable. Especially when Ruiz entered the game with 2 outs. You can bring in Bummer to face a lefty and the odds are very good he's not gonna implode to the point you lose him for tomorrow.

This inning, and so far the season, has just been agonizing. No consistency.

If they are going to stick with TLR, the only way is if they gut the front office.

Even that won’t pacify the fans for long.  It will get really ugly...everyone is going to pick sides to assess blame.

Shout out to the mist incompent owner in MLB. Damn and I thought the guys who owned the Mets were bad

Boston is not good they have solid players.

Should have scored off Pivetta while they could have the first few innings. We did get unlucky this game with Moncada basically hitting a grand slam that ended up being an out. But they looked like crap against the bullpen.

Team is very average at best right now

Then you have the never burn high-leverage relievers in games you’re trailing axiom.  Could just see that coming a mile a mile away with either Ruiz or Foster coming in.

Winning close games is a sign of good managing and a good team. It appears we don't have either of those thus far.
