Heuer has lowered his xFIP by almost a full run compared to last year. He has a ridiculous BABIP against him. He is the pitching version of Grandal in terms of rotten batted ball luck

He's getting hit hard. Just cause he doesn't give up a bunch of fly balls and has a decent K/BB doesn't mean he's better this year. His EV and hard hit % are all up this year. Maybe he's not a 5 ERA guy, but he's definitely not the 2 ERA pitcher he was last year.

Stuff doesn’t seem nearly as good though as last year.  Specifically his slider, IMO

If I told you everyone in the lineup, except 2 guys, all had hits, would you have ever guessed those 2 were.........Yermin and TA?

If you told me that Madrigal would slug almost .400 without hitting .330, I would not have believed you.

His change up got better, but his slider and sinker are both pretty bad.

Yes I’m quoting myself, but fangraphs pitch value makes it seem like Heuer is getting destroyed on his sinker this year

Don’t disagree.

You forgot Ruiz.   Strange, because arguably his most impressive outing was last time out against the Yankees.

I'd rather see Ruiz here than Marshall tbh. Marshall had issues throwing strikes in situations like this before.

Couldn't have rolled it out there any better.

5-4-3!

Madrigal grade 80 turn

Nice double play.

Normally I agree, but Marshall has been dotting the corners this inning, West missed one I think as well.

Gosh man...Yoan on the run, can't be beat.

Brilliant pick and throw!

Moncada is just a joy to watch

Yoan is so good throwing on the run.

STUD!!!

and only 25 years old.....

Yoan is so smooth at 3B...except for pop flies ?

Crochet warming. He needs to be taken off of mop up duty

Either mop of duty, alright, alright, alright :)

GET AN OUT OR THE SEASON IS DONE!

He needs to replace Huere as the 7th inning guy

What are the fans chanting

Every team seems to have at least one guy who throws 99 and nobody bats an eye. Guns must be different these days.
