It's terrible how much praise he's getting for that

If you watch the Jomboy video on it, it's pretty clear Javy didn't know the rules either. He's still signaling safe that the runner scored at home when that won't matter if he gets tagged out or thrown out at 1st. If the 2nd baseman was actually at 1st instead of watching the disaster unravel, the run wouldn't have scored.

No, continuing to pitch him out of the bullpen and the fact his clock has been started is what's short sighted. The Sox spent the 11th pick on him and they should give him the opportunity to start. Special arm.

He is up against a REALLY low inning count this year.  If you were to start using him as a starter today, you'd lose him for the year by about July.  The Sox made the decision that they can get him his innings AND be able to use him to benefit the ball club.  He was never going to be a starter this year because of the fact he has never thrown a significant amount of innings in a season.  His high IP in college was 65 innings, so you are probably talking about 100 inning top, MAYBE 120.  Even Chris Sale got 103 college IP, plus another 33 in the minors and Chicago before he got to the bigs, which is DOUBLE Crochet.

They were never going to use him up by July, either in the minors or the majors.

Wait. If the batter was tagged out, does that remove the force play, and the run does count?

No I believe if Baez is out before he touches first, there is no run at home.

Ghost runner on second at the beginning of every inning.  Pitchers must chug a beer after every strikeout.  Pants are optional.

Are these OK?...

Why he isn’t on the IL and they haven’t announced any injury maybe it’s schedualed off time against weaker opponents

Guys like TA typically don't get consecutive days off without a really good reason.
