Over 500 ABS with 60 combined homers and doubles in 2016 & 2017.

He can't hit lefties. Arizona wasn't platooning him IIRC. He also just needed a change of scenery. He played really well for Oakland last year while filling in for Chapman.

Keuchel has a serious James Shields/slow descent into retirement vibe.  Luckily, all he cost was money.  Sox luck with veteran pitchers in the last ten years has not been great.  So far, Lynn is an exception.

he relies on command and so far this year he's had command maybe twice out of what, 8 starts?

Well it is awful. But if we can find a way to keep Rodon and Lyn another 3 years im okay with it.

I thought him returning to the stretch full time would help, but nope. Something is definitely weird mechanically with him, cause he had great control last year.

Fair enough.  Hopefully, last year’s version emerges as the season goes on.  Trouble with command guys is their margins are already low, they lose anything on the stuff, the drop off can be quick and dramatic.
