6/17 Sox @ Astros, 7:10 CT

Sox need to take more pitches, get to the Astros bullpen today and throughout the series. That is their weakness, beyond their closer.

This series is going to expose the Sox weaknesses

Welcome to Soxtalk!

Well, thanks. Long-time member, frequent lurker, recent occasional commenter again.

Brantley always made a ton of sense, as a DH at least.  Balance out the lineup from the left side, great veteran, wouldn't kill you if you had him play LF from time to time.

I'm sure you'll remind everyone else too.  You happy?

I’ll be happy once Eloy is back and we can get rid of him. Btw 3ks away

love it when our boys put me to sleep early. I'll take the L here, get 2 of the next 3!

A hit

Worst kind of fan

Gordon Blandham…  there are virtually zero dynamics in his speaking style… with a homogenized, milque-toast energy.

NBC Chicago is treating us to this 4-day broadcasting gift.

Well technically a fly out is different than a pop out.  Dosen't matter though.

What are the odds Grandal gets back to .200 before the end of the season?

40%?

So many catchers around the league getting consistent playing time with averages below the Mendoza Line.

Vaughn got 2 hangers but were a little early on them

I already fell asleep once this game.

Vaughn against RHP is getting hard to watch

Jason really thought a 250 foot fly ball was a homer.

Benetti's fly ball judgment is still atrocious I see.

Good. Then they will be motivated to trade for reinforcements.

Exactly. This series will show them where they are. This is a team they will have to beat to get to where they want to be. Bottom line the Sox are in first 18 games over .500. and there is a lot of season to play.

He just needs to stop reacting right away. At least wait until the camera pans on the ball in flight.

Not at the game, in the NBC studios. Owners saving money. #GoFundMeJerryReinsdorf

I can guarantee you if Hawk was in that same situation (not Hawk from the last 3 years when he should've been retired) not a chance he does that.

After Cease threw a heater for a waste pitch, Beckham predicted something offspeed. When Benetti asked him which one, he said "change up, slider, curve, I'm not sure." Gee Gordon you don't say

He’s like Hawk in his final year, calling popouts with a STRETCHHHHH

Bad assumption. I wake up at 4am cst for work, so these games are tough for me. Laying in bed now

I guarantee you Jerry wouldn't give cable subscribers a 102 /162 refund on fees paid for CSN on their cable bills because owners locked out the players last season.

Can also guarantee you won't be getting 50% of your CSN fees refunded this year for the non-professional road broadcasts being offered by Jerry's RSN/CSN, nor will Ricketts or any of these other "stewards of the game".
