So glad we'll (likely) never see a pitcher bat again after this season.

Quick question, other than just to be a contrarian, why do you have such a hard time with Abreu dipping, but no problem with Tony driving around hammered?

  • Abreu still dips. It is incredibly unsightly and sets a poor example. Tony doesn't drive around hammered anymore as far as I can tell. It's a dispicable thing Tony did. However, it's over and done wit

12 year anniversary of Buehrle's perfect game.  Sox will be playing in the stadium that Buehrle hit his 1 career home run. Gio should honor Mark by pitching a perfect game and hitting a HR in a 1

Not only for improved offense but also to avoid injuries running the bases or getting hit by a pitch.

got pretty damn lucky that didn't get past engel

Love to see these crisp double play turns.

Is this what the Twins felt like with all these double plays?

5-4-3!

Lucas' velocity looks good, he just hasn't been able to put away some guys with 2 strikes. The double plays have been real helpful so far.

20 pitches, 2 innings. Nice.

Gio and Cease getting some of the spin back on their fastballs is interesting to me. At the very least, it probably gives him a bit more margain for error if he misses over the plate.

Blame the owners, they wanted another pathetic 16 team playoff to retain the NL DH.

MLB owners will stop at nothing to destroy their sport.

Just wrong. The players rejected a standalone DH offer. MLBPA believes EVERYTHING has to wait for the CBA. Tony Clark sucks and is the reason we have to wait for a universal DH

That second inning will come back to haunt us

Two pretty good breaking balls to hit and nothing to show for it

Way to make Peralta work top of the lineup.

Terrible ABs that inning

i cant believe abreu swung at that.. it bounced 6 feet in front of the plate. Unreal

It sounded as if the owners wanted to do universal DH in exchange for expanded playoffs. Realistically, expanded playoffs is probably the biggest chip the players can give the owners. It makes sense they wouldn't want to give that up for *just* a universal DH.

Goodwin now 4 for his last 25....Eloy can't return soon enough

When he decides he is going to swing he swings no matter what

For Charlotte, Eloy with a single and Yermin with a homer.

Completely false, as usual. There was never EVER a “stand alone” DH offer.

Owners tied everything to their complete garbage horseshit 16 team playoff and or delaying Spring Training for whenever the owners god damned wanted to lockout the players, just like last years absurd 102 game logout.

Not a good time for a slumping offense.  Yes I know Milwaukee is running out their 3 best pitchers.   Sox looked pathetic the other night on offense as well.

It's so weird that the strike zone is basically superimposed over Giolito's head the whole time..
