I'm sure we'll all be appreciating Grandal's defense once he's back ?

Quick question, other than just to be a contrarian, why do you have such a hard time with Abreu dipping, but no problem with Tony driving around hammered?

  • Abreu still dips. It is incredibly unsightly and sets a poor example. Tony doesn't drive around hammered anymore as far as I can tell. It's a dispicable thing Tony did. However, it's over and done wit

12 year anniversary of Buehrle's perfect game.  Sox will be playing in the stadium that Buehrle hit his 1 career home run. Gio should honor Mark by pitching a perfect game and hitting a HR in a 1

We need bullpen help in the absolute worst way.

Bummer and Heuer should be ashamed. They know they can do so much better than this dumpster fire.

We're fortunate that the Cleveland *redacted*ians are also playing like crap.

The 10 year olds on my son's team frame better than that

T-ball (non-existent) catchers couldn’t frame any worse…we’d fare better with no catcher in front of the umpire until a runner reached base.

Our bullpen is a disaster. I think we need two new relievers.

Narvaez, meanwhile, looks pretty decent these days…

Why wasn’t Kopech in this game.?  We can’t expect to win a close game with Burr pitching.

LMAO.   I knew it was coming.   Blame LaRussa.

bull pen imploded the game.. but we were losing anyway.

Yep, the Sox bats have been asleep for two games now.

Burr is really bad.

You cannot bring in Burr in a close game. Second time recently which he has been blown out.  Kopech, Hendriks and occasionally Crochet are our only reliable relievers to bring into close games. Burr shouldbe sent to Charlotte tonight on a one way ticket on Greyhound.

He's actually one of the better framers in baseball now! Contrasting him vs Collins on defense is, uhm, interesting to say the least.

Benetti is delusional.

He's sure not paying attention if he's shocked about seeing yet another pen implosion.

Maybe SoxMath keeps him too distracted to watch the trainwreck this is.

Now that's a strike? Fuck off Libka.

He doesn't pitch out of the bullpen. That was bad before he got hurt.

Wow TA got thrown out.

Last four appearances:

  • 7/9 (12-1 Game 100% Win Probability)
  • 7/11 (7-5 74% Win Probability)
  • 7/18 (4-0 98% Win Probability)
  • 7/20 (9-5 78% Win Probability)

It's part of the problem, Crochet and Kopech are scheduled for development, Sox trying to do both to avoid spending a few million on decent relievers this offseason. The Sox have been playing with two spots short in many games. Crochet should be developing in the minors. Kopech is fine, but they need more relievers on a day to day basis.

Have your say TA.  The home plate ump has been terrible.

Home plate umpire looks like he's about to cry.  I'm shocked a crew with Iassogna sucks.

Exhibit 1B of Sox players who were roundly criticized for defensive shortcomings only to become All-Stars/MVP candidates along with Marcus Semien.

LOL, whenever the bullpen sucks it is inevitable that someone will ask why Kopech wasn't in.

Very stupid, 1 game suspension likely. Par for today, he played a stupid game today.

Wow TA is really pissed. I don't think I've ever seen him that pissed.

This game shows that we have problems beating good teams with good pitching. And that we are lucky we are in the worst division in MLB.  I see Detroit now as the main competition in the division.

Why would he get suspended? He's just having his say. AFAIK, there wasn't any physical contact with the umps.

Nice hustle and bustle down the line by Yoan there

Have a game Vaughn!

Vaughn has been CRUSHING the ball lately vs RHP. He was due for that HR.
