At this point why do the Yankees even swing? Every pitch they take is called a ball.

He was averaging 97 with the Cubs, which means he was probably between 96 and 98 with a max of 99. Now he's mostly sitting 95-96.

Yep and had really good command

I'm going to keep my mouth shut because no one wants to hear someone criticizing the trade every time he pitches ☺️

Higashioka, your Mama.

His breaking stuff is good

Jerry is at the game?

No, he sold his ticket for $750.

Good job Kimbrel

Great pitch selection

Nice

He keeps pulling that fastball

His curve looks better after the Voit AB but now he can't locate the fastball.

That knuckle curve is just outrageously good

Why go fastball when you can't locate it and they keep swinging at the curve? lol

That’ll pay a portion of Leury’s salary to ensure he sticks around.

Yep the fastball is a set up pitch for him. I prefer he goes with the curve on 3-2.

The more he pitches, the better he'll be. And he hasn't been pitching much.

That's exactly why I think the extra tick or two of velo is less important for him as long as he's actually healthy

Len said Jerry, Hahn, Howard Pizer were there. Kenny must be driving Tony around in Florida.

If only Jerry's TV announcers could travel.

Honestly with Kopech and Hendriks being flame throwers...i am okay with Kimbrel relying on his insanely good off speed stuff.

Right groin tightness for Adam Engel per Len on the radio broadcast.

I'm only half kidding when I say I'm worried they'll give him a QO.

Seriously though, were the Sox compensated financially for losing a home game?

I’m glad Hinch sat Miggy tonight. Let him have his moment this weekend at home, and not against this.

It's possible his velocity might be down a tick but Kimbrel isn't a one trick pony.  It's the knuckle curve, which he is locating, which is what makes him so explosive.  That combined with his fastball is why he's a future hall of famer.  As long as he's locating that, he's fine.

I would give him a save opportunity soon though just to see if he can get that added adrenaline going.

Because they are the Bronx Bombers not the Bronx Walkers.

Yankees bullpen is so depleted they're really throwing all lefties against us.
