Madrigal will have a better career IMO. Hit tool just too good. But it was close then and it’s close now. Kimbrel trade remains unfathomable to me.

Did Benetti and Beckham seriously not mention Bobby Witt Jr as the reason Mondesi is being pushed off SS? He's a top 5 prospect in the game and in AAA. If you're calling a game involving the Royals he has to be on your radar.

You can argue none of the pitches he hit homers on were actually bad pitches. None of them were middle/middle pitches. 2 were pretty much on the black. Lopez's slider yesterday hung a little, but was out of the zone. 

The ball was over the white of the opposite batters box.

Why bother…if it’s an obvious lost cause after one inning in KC in early September. 

The Royals always turn it up when they play the Sox but with any other team they play like garbage.

Perez thrives on hitting bad pitches. Yet we keep trying to pitch around him with pitches that are too close to the plate. Those are basically strikes to Perez.
