What about a hit and run with Abreu at the plate against the splitter.  That should have been a no brainer. The station to station inaction cost us another double play.

He's pitching to contact a hell of a lot more. I wouldn't be too encouraged about his K/9 being 5.5 despite the good results. That's not the kind of make up you want in a reliever.

It is why I said at the time of the trade - the Cubs did extremely well - they bought low on a guy with a high upside (not ever going to be Craig Kimbrel career wise, but he is certainly going to put up a lot more combined value over his tenure than Kimbrel and was a great bounce back candidate given his plus stuff).  Add in a Madrigal and while I could understand the trade, it was a trade I WOULD NOT have made.  That said - I hope kimbrel crushes it and Sox win a championship because of him.
