We are still more a collection of RH hitting talent/individuals than a cohesive team resembling what we had in 2005.

Wonder if they will consider trading Moncada...which would be one of the few ways to even up the payroll down the line for Burger.

No easy solutions or answers that don't involve spending a lot whereas we usually spend 50 cents on the dollar with just a few notable exceptions like Grandal and Robert.

Then holding on to Abreu one year too long becomes yet another risk factor.

You want to fix a team that is too right-handed by trading away a switch hitter to clear room for a right handed hitter?

Imagine being a manager and knowing you have 5 fresh relievers and 1 who hasn't been successful on back to back and pitched yesterday and say to yourself, let's go get the former in the biggest moment

We can still win this series. We just have to score more runs than Houston and you can take that to the bank

  • Let’s GO! Lots of pressure on Houston. They need to win one of the next three if they want to force a game 5.

7-8-9 battle in this series has gone about as badly as possible

lol, 1 thru 6 isn't going all that well either.

Lucas needs a very short leash in the 5th. It's the third time around and he looked gassed to end the 4th.

They can't score because the bottom of the lineup is like 0-20. Sure it hurts that the middle isn't doing as much as they should, but you can't sustain or build long rallies when you have 1/3 of the lineup doing absolutely nothing. This is why they need to go after a 2B and RF.

on top of seemingly having zero power

Take 2 haha

Don’t help him Leury!!!

Please walk Leury.

Take another.

Not sure why anyone was expecting much from either Engel or Vaughn offensively...so much of playoff baseball is timing and confidence.

Good job Leury...I’m fine with a bunt here

The Legend lives on!

run into Engel one pls

So you say they’re too right-handed but want to possibly trade Yoan?

Eloy is the only member of the core I'd consider. Health liability, doesn't want to DH, can't play defense.

Nice luck there for the Sox, time to take advantage.

LEGENDARY!

Alright let's try not to ground into another double play.

100% makes sense

Fuck it, bunt. And I hate bunting lol

Phew. Alright, let's get it going. Maybe we see some small ball here with Engel and Anderson due up.

I won't get too excited at a leadoff hit with the Sox ability to hit double plays or find bizarre ways to get out

If the 3B isn't playing in Engel should try bunting for a hit.

Madrigal's noodle arm and little leaguer's range and game awareness isn't missed at all.  The contact was great but that's all.  Cesar being here IMO really showed some people who forgot what you should expect in arm strength and range at 2B.  But we definitely need some good ABs.  Unfortunately Cesar has been Leury-like in his ABs except without Leury's luck.

Is the History Channel??

Geez...

bunt to try and tie? we deserve to lose

Edited by TheTruth05

They are saying the ball is real fast in the Houston infield...maybe that's why some thought Anderson was slow up the line. Not that he was slow...the ball was just getting to the infielders a lot quicker than we are used to.
