Cesar better homer

In the pregame presser, TLR explained his logic for Leury over Engle as wanting to have Cesar’s left handed bat in against Garcia.

Sane logic that burned us in game 2.

Asshole.

We need to get a RF and a 2b in the offseason. The bottom of the lineup is garbage.

Garcia in right, guess Tony didn't learn

Simply unbelievable, TLR has lost it.

Shelley Duncan must be writing the lineups.

Is Engel hurt? There's no excuse to play Leury in RF again after the debacle on Friday.

No.

The excuse is that Cesar and Leury are both swtich hitters, completely ignoring the fact that they'll combine to go 0-8.

How about 2 or 3.

Having a weak ass hitter like Cesar in the lineup in the 9 spot isn't worth sacrificing a ton of defense in RF with a fly ball pitcher like Cease on the mound.

Lefties do hit Garcia better, but like you said, the hitters we're talking about suck anyhow.

Yeah, Engel may go 0-4, but he'll at least provide defensive value. Leury has to get on base a couple times to compensate for the lack of defense.

Offseason just around the corner.

Team really is a lost cause if they're throwing Leury out there in the OF again after Friday.

Maybe the Sox could put this on their bulletin board.

Athletic Writer Picks for the game tonight (there are five with picks),

WRITER PICK
Andy McCullough
Eno Sarris
C. Trent Rosecrans
Nick Groke
Sahadev Sharma

Too bad this isn't 1989 in Cleveland, although LuBob is MJ-esque

Contrary to popular opinion, I like the Sox to take the next two games. Expecting Cease to pitch his ass off tonight and the Sox to muster enough offense to win a close one. Game 4, Sox win a blowout.

Series is over. They have pretty much given up since they are playing Leury in RF again.

They haven’t given up dude. Haha cmon.

Agree...they haven't given up...they never would!  But having Leury start in OF again is just not great!  Goodwin (who isn't all that great either) should have been on this roster!

Than they should actually start playing their best players in the right spots. Play Engel in RF and Leury at 2nd.

Anyone else hope the crowd *BOOOOOs* the shit out of TLR during the lineup announcement?

This is 100pc about Tony hoping Leury has a big hit to redeem himself and zero about fielding the best team. Fkn ludicrous, like everything about this ? ? ?  ? ?

One of the more infuriating things about  managers being stuck up their own ass about lefty righty matchups.

That color does not look good on him.

Also, I thought Sunday lineups weren't supposed to be a thing in the postseason.
