Nice win cross fingers for Rodon

Gonna need cane guy in attendance tomorrow so he can work his magic on Carlos' shoulder.

I imagine it'll be like Mr. Miyagi healing Daniel LaRusso's leg.

Great win for the Sox.  Probably the best game of the year.  All of TLR moves worked out tonight.  He outmanaged Dusty.

Not hard to do. Dusty was terrible. It's funny how, when you make common sense moves, they usually work out? Who would have guessed.

Dusty outmanaged himself. He overmanaged his bullpen and it totally backfired.

and to think, most of us wanted Engel out there

Leury+Hernandez: 3 for 8, 2 runs, 4 RBI, 2BB

Can’t imagine the environment if it was tied 1-1 coming to Chicago…but that and the FOD walk-off definitely will resonate for a long time.

Any word on who Houston will start vs. Rodon?   Would be dangerous to go on a starter with three day’s rest and not hold him back for a Game 5 at home…tough decision for Baker to make.

It'll be Urquidy.

Had the bullpen pitched like they did tonight in Houston we'd be up 2-1 right now.

He makes Ventura and Hahn seem like Mr. Baseball in comparison.

That’s always been the point. And of course, they haven’t got anywhere close to that. Which just blows. But as many of us discussed at the time, there are very scenarios where trading Madrigal and Heuer were going to cost you from winning a future World Series. Both are very replaceable. Getting a nails RP can be much harder to find, especially at the deadline. Kimbrel could have been that, but it’s been a massive flop. AND HAHN DESERVERS BLAME FOR THAT. Never said he didn’t. But I put more blame on the player because of all the reasons discussed previously.

Sorry, this game was drunk, we needed something else to talk about ?

This take is so hard to understand. Blaming a player for being something he is not. His mental edge is starting clean in the 9th inning for all the chips. That is why everyone with good stuff can't do it, it is terrifying for most pitchers. It is the adrenaline rush that they use to lift their performanc, and they thrive on that. If the eight inning is meh to them so they fail at a higher rate, that sucks, but don't use them in the eighth. If you do, it is not the play's fault they don't bring the 9th inning stuff out there. They aren't that guy in the eight. No amount of cajoling can make them something they are not.

They will play in the rain, would have to be a torrential downpour to delay it. They played Game 2 of the World Series in the rain.

Television dictates it.

Please don't rain. I want our hitters to have a shot at another convincing win at home and bring it to Houston where Sox 'might' win if it's their year.

that looked lioke a scene from Allegiant Stadium tonight.

You know, in hindsight, Lynn didn't pitch that poorly in game 1. Cause Cease showed tonight that it can be much worse.

it matters in a spiritual sense

Maybe but it's pretty simple. Sox are great at home; pretty terrible on the road. Doesn't mean we can't win by four tomorrow then win a crazy Game Five. Sox deserve karma to reverse the joke of a loss to the Orioles in Game Four on Dybber's baserunning mistake. Sox woulda won in five that year Baseball gods got to correct the error.

Alot of pitches with movement in the strike zone today.  Hopefully that continues.

If Gio attacks and doesnt walk 2 guys in a row everything changes.

They almost let walks beat them this series.

Yoan slipping in the 2nd was also huge. Lucas didn't look the same after.
