You know who's a lot better at home than on the road though? The White Sox.

I hear that is a myth perpetrated by those of us who wanted them to try harder to get HFA against Houston.

What a 4 and a half hour Sox playoff win does to this 20 year old dog of mine...

  • How about for '22 we invoke a dress code for starters. Caps on straight, shirts buttoned and no jewelry. We lead the league in chains. Maybe hire Gabe Kapler away from Giants to instill a little purpo

Yeah, I'd much rather face their best pitcher in the park that we have the best record in baseball in. Sox offense is different at home. Last thing we should want is to face McCullers on the road again imo.

Yep. Maybe scratch out a win tomorrow and face the lefty game 5.

Good news with the delay is Yas can go both games with a late (8p) start in Houston Wednesday. He probably would have gone both anyway, but giving the man a little extra rest is good. Rest some arms too, so all hands on deck for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

If Carlos is throwing 93-95 in the first inning tomorrow it'll be time to get really f'ing hype.

Would game 5* still be Wednesday?

* if necessary, of course

I really hope they move McCullers up to tomorrow.

Another day game.... yay let’s screw over anyone that works and took off!

Yes. ALCS starts Friday. That’s not changing.

Note to self...I'm going to be very careful about getting too excited about velocity in the 1st inning tomorrow....see Game 3

I wonder if that says more about their confidence in Rodon, or their lack of confidence in a good matchup for Lynn. Hopefully the former and they saw something they liked in Rodon's bullpen session.

Yeah, but Carlos is different than Cease. With Cease, the velocity isn't necessarily an indicator of his stuff as his stuff is always good. With Carlos, velocity means the arm is back and if the arm is back and not fatigued he's a different animal.

OK Boomer

Just have a feeling Dusty is also gonna push back his starter. I really would like McCullers to start tho, he's their best and having him pitch at the rate is much better for the Sox

All hands on deck tomorrow.

Houston writers have indicated it'll be McCullers.

A July road game is much different than an October playoff game in front of a crowd like last night's.  I want to face him in Chicago, without question.

Awesome, if they pull it out tomorrow, what a momentum shift would that be.

We were going to have to face him to advance, so better for us if it is at home.  If we can win game 4 under that scenario, I feel alot better about game 5.

Not using McCullers in game 4 is probably smart if they're looking forward to the ALCS. Cause if he goes tomorrow, he can't pitch until game 3 of the ALCS at the earliest unless he goes on short rest. If he starts game 5, he also won't be able to pitch until game 3 of the ALCS. But if they somehow win with Urquidy in game 4, McCullers can start game 1 of the ALCS.

I gotta think Dusty wants the safety Net of McCullers at home. Honestly if they switch that up...and pitch him tomorrow, Sox are winning this series.
