December 9, 20214 yr Honestly, all this is one more reason making me wonder just what I am rooting for as a fan. The players aren't tied to their fanbases since they they are just moving around to where their contracts will be best and I have no interest in following, much less rooting for, the owner and his wheeling and dealing.

I agree but you will get lots of flack for taking this position. Giving an inordinate amount of the total payroll to one player has never seemed the smart way to build a team to me.
December 12, 20214 yr He's a great player, but signing a guy for seven years seems silly and dumb nowadays when 33 is ancient for a player much less 38.
