There will definitely be inconsistencies with Brash, I agree. But all I can think watching him is that this is what early career Cease would have been with better pitching development/coaching early in his career.

I'd call Cease a developmental success story; many had him pegged as a possible bullpen arm when the Sox acquired him.

Can't believe they're pitching Velazquez for the home opener. At least Keuchel is a name.

Eloy gets such a big pass for wildly underachieving expectations that other guys on the team don't receive

The less Grandal catches the better.

Velasquez works so damn slow.

Look I'm also enjoying the Josh Harrison experience so far.

But I also enjoyed the Adam Eaton experience for the first couple weeks or so.

Fair. The bar to clear from Cesar was so low that Harrison cleared it in 30 innings.

I really think he has like a 2 mph difference between fastball and change

strike this bum out. one more good pitch.

Sousa warming

Kelenic looks terrible

Kelenic does not look like a big league caliber player

sit down b****.

The only guy VV is fooling is Kelenic

Superstar Jared Kelenic showing the goods. Harold really hit that one out of the park.

Harold probably died alittle inside with that Kelenic at bat.

he is terrible. historically bad.

If we meet Seattle in the playoffs we know who we can bring in to get Kelenic.

Isn’t Kelenic the draftee that Sox fans were drooling over? He has a long way to go

So that 91 MPH change up I saw earlier wasn't a mistake?

This has to be his last batter

I agree with that, but don't think his improvement happens without Katz taking over for Coop. But we'll never know if that's true one way or another for sure.

Doesn’t appear so, as that 90 mph sure looked like a change up

Well Velasquez has some nasty stuff....wait that's Brash....never mind.

Oh thank goodness

You're right. Only Greinke has that small of a difference between his fastball and change. And that's not by choice.

He perfected that high slider today :)

4-1, we will take it

Sheets has actually gotten some decent reads today.
