I'd honestly have kept him in. Had plenty in the tank imo.

  • disagree.  he's very good but his stats aren't any better (or as good) than several other cf'rs.    he's not the five tool guy many claim he is.  strong arm but not accurate, glove is shaky at times.

What an outing by Dylan. It certainly looks like he's stepped it up to another level this year. He had issues last year against patient lineups cause they wouldn't swing at his stuff out of the zone. The Rays are probably one of the more patient teams in baseball and he made them look terrible.

Damn.....HARD CARL hitting 100mph and up 2-0 through 6 with 67 pitches v Guardians of Ohio

I'll go to my grave not understanding what the Sox were thinking on that one.

So far this is the Cease we all hoped for.

Tony overthinking this, leave Cease in ffs

90ish pitches was probably his limit. Choi has also seen him 3 times before this.

Nope. Too early in the year to push the pitch count too high with the shortened spring training.

Nice outing for Cease. 5.2, 91 pitches this early in the season.

Lawd have mercy these Apple TV announcers are turrible.

WTF LaRussa, Cease is cooking, let him get through the inning FFS

We can't keep trading those types!

Rays would hold onto him and replace Moncada with him as soon as Moncada got expensive and trade Moncada for more better minor leaguers .Of course I'd probably trust the Rays scouts than ours .

I'm OK with Bummer coming in to face Choi.

Katz said before the game 90-95 pitches if no stressful innings.

let's see how stressful bummer can make this.

ROBOTS.

At start of broadcast they quoted Katz as saying 90-95 pitches tonight.  With lefty coming up, move made perfect sense.

Bummer is always down in the count.

"they brought him in here to see if he can get out of this" -- I agree.

Jesus that slider is nasty.

on paper yes. watching the game no, cease was flowing.

Fuck he dropped it

Bummer has not been good

god damnit. should have just left cease in.

Bummer sucks ass at doing the one thing he should be able to do.

I was thinking of a similar pitcher who was nasty when healthy, but his body never held up. Who was the guy the Cubs traded for from Oakland? Right hander, nasty change up. Can’t think of the name.

Rich Harden?

bummer is so fucking frustrating.
