I can’t believe this team sucks vs RHP.  Really thought Harrison and Sheets would save us.

All comes down to Moncada and Pollock, gulp, staying healthy.

If you wanted rest for the stars, pull them in inning 3 of game 1 and put them back in for game 2 and pound Guardian ass. It’s like we are managed by an absolute fucking moron

  • The silver lining being it kept Keuchals innings low.

Frank defends TLR saying they sit because of little effort game 1

Lineup was decided before game 1 started from what I read this morning so NO FRANK.

The Bulls better put a better effort tonight then the Sox did today.

With the way today is going, the Bulls are gonna commit 50 turnovers and lose by 40.

This lineup has me beyond infuriated with TLR. Especially coming off of two days off and probably another couple in the next week because of crappy weather.

What irony it would be if the Sox miss the playoffs by one game.

You are right on, and particularly after losing the first game.

yeah if only we didnt have an entire previous season of evidence to suggest that wasn't the reason.

Not to mention it was announced at 11 AM (during pre-game interviews) that Haseley, Garcia, Mendick, and Harrison were starting the second game

I will be glad if we see Yoan healthy come June.  Not good at all he still feels the injury.

In my opinion, the key to the offense last year was Grandal....he's been struggling so far.

This loss is 100% on TLR and McEwing to a lesser extent. Didn’t use all his weapons during the game and allow it to get to Clase in the 9 th on a one run game.  Abreu was ready to hit but he grabbed some bench instead in the 9 th. TLR should have treated this game as a long extra inning game and play our best lineup.  Didn’t seeCleveland sitting Jose Ramirez in the second game…

Francona >> TLR

What national baseball writer other than Passan would be willing to call out LaRussa?

Grandal for sure

When he has hit the ball hard this year, it's been right at people. He at least walked a lot last year, but we're not seeing that so far. There's also been a ton of weak contact, which didn't happen that often last year, even when he wasn't hitting.

You are right.  TLR left all  starters in a 10-1 blowout in the 1st game, because he was going to sit them on the 2 nd game.

No

This team just sucks right now. Including the weather.

Lot of hard hit outs. His strike zone command hasn't been quite as elite either. I think he'll get there; his slumps always look bad. I can't help but wonder if the knee is still bothering him too given his limited time at catcher.

TLR doesn’t adjust his plans or his ways, even after we lose the first game.

I think Grandal looks like crap with his strike zone judgment this year so far.

Hopefully that's not indicative of something else going on with his eyes, because that is what makes his bat elite.

The signs of an eventual bad stretch of games were there all homestand. We straight up didn't hit in the previous 4 games. The offense is going to need to right itself.

As I said earlier, I think putting him at DH a lot right now is a huge mistake.

Hard to have a good eye when your head is flying off the ball

He did almost get one in the gap today but CF made a nice play.

I don’t understand the MLB scheduling.  They send Tampa Bay to play in Chicago in April, and waste those warm days in Florida.

Why not pull all the starters after 2 innings down 10-0 and then start them game 2?

We always seem to suck in April.
