The defending champs have the opposite philosophy

Never said it was right. Just that it has always been his philosophy.

If you wanted rest for the stars, pull them in inning 3 of game 1 and put them back in for game 2 and pound Guardian ass. It’s like we are managed by an absolute fucking moron

  • The silver lining being it kept Keuchals innings low.

If Kwan and Miller end up being good then their offense should be close to average this year. With their pitching, that could end up giving us a run for our money.

Agreed. Still think the Sox are slightly better.

The Kane County Cougars could beat this lineup.

Might be able to outdraw the Indians, too.  Well, at least the A's and Rays.

If they're going to have a decent offense they might be better than the Sox at full strength.

No.

That was fast.  Lambert is so unimpressive.

No.

Why not?  They have a better starting staff.

Why would we pitch to that guy with first base open? I'm so confused.

But it was a beautiful hanging curve

The Giants gave up like 4 runs against this team in 3 games. We gave up 10 in 2 innings.

Giants had major leaguers on the mound. We’re pitching two guys today that would get hit hard in AAA.

They arguably have the best rotation in the majors if Cobb is suddenly at 95-96 with Driveline assistance.

Seems like we always get killed by the other teams best player inside the division. Ramirez always kills us. Perez destroyed us last year. I'm sure if we faced Buxton last year he would have hit a bunch of homers against us. He did in 2020.

Same score as game 1 after 1

Let's hope the 2nd inning goes better

Because those guys weren’t good in 2001, which is how Tony judges who is dangerous or not.

1+ technically

At least we don't have to worry about him walking them with the bases loaded.

Yes, but he has 6 innings so far too many for the season! He needs a 154 more innings for the season to secure a 20 million guaranteed salary for his final season before becoming a FA. There better be zero chance of Kuechel being allowed to even get anywhere close to 160 innings this season. That money should be used for a legitimate quality ML pitcher next year.

Listening to the Guardians' TV announcing team will be more tolerable for this one...

Sheets' swing really looks long still. Broken bat flare.

Relying on him this year was so dumb

Just saw the lineup.  Worst manager in baseball, without question.

Any chance we get lucky and tomorrow gets ppd?

Vaughn looks pissed that the ball barely grazed him.

Doesn't look like it. No rain after the morning.

Honestly, after game one, we need someone to get fired up.
