White Sox fans complain about Grandal, but if they didn’t sign him, they almost assuredly would have extended James McCann, and most would have been thrilled. Look at his numbers since leaving the White Sox.  They look like his numbers before he came to the White Sox when he was so bad the Tigers non tendered him. Now he makes quadruple what they would have had to pay him.

Should have just kept Narvaez lol.

It's not exactly like Colome was a super cheap closer, either.

Those weren’t the only two options. They had Collins, acquired McGuire and had Zavala. There were other options than the assclown Mets McCann deal or Hahn’s assclown Grandal deal.

Grandal performed as expected, a  terrible catcher in decline stage who could hit at times. That’s what I pegged him at Thanksgiving Week 2019. I thought it was a poor allocation of roster resources by a team operating under Jerry Reinsdorf.

Many here said he would play 120 games a season and would be an elite catcher. These people clearly do not understand how nearly all catchers break down after age 30 due to the physical demands of the game.

If they really think that they're delusional and need to be fired immediately.

Did Illinois, or more accurately for Kenny Williams residency in Arizona, legalize cocaine or other drugs stronger than “The Weed-duh”?

Bruce Levine is and always has been completely worthless and a full of s%*# hand puppet for owners.

You'd have to be on magic mushrooms, LSD or peyote to think that.

In other words, trippin' balls.

Actually he is at most of the games up in the owners box.

Which makes it even worse. How can JR sit up there and watch this abomination of a franchise and not DO SOMETHING about it?!

How could it get any worse by FIRING RICK HAHN and trying something else.

TOTAL FAIL

As long as they draw 23-27000 during summer months for weekend/promotional games and Cubs' series...they will end up mid 20s in attendance and somewhere between 1.475 and 1.525 million, which is bad but not historically awful.

Their record low at the new park when attendance was allowed was 1,338,851 in 1999. They have drawn 547,389 (18,246 per game) through today .

Assuming no additional rainouts and straight doubleheaders, they will need to average 15,519 per game the rest of the season to exceed that number. Likely already clinched it already between season tickets sold, and additional tickets sold for the Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox and Cardinals series.

That said, these are dreadful numbers during a "multi-championship window".

Bump.

Move on from Anderson Lynn Grandal Giolito Middleton (UFA) Kelly Bummer and Lopez.

If not willing to trade Cease Kopech or Robert... they're going to need to hit on nearly every single move to have a prayer of competing next year.

The only thing we would be able to compete for next season is the central. Thats the world series parade Rick Hahn and Co have in store for us

Even in the Comedy Central division, that team wouldn't be competitive.

The Oakland A's, a team intentionally trying to lose, are currently in a five game winning streak.

They will eclipse the White Sox' longest 2023 win streak if they beat Tampa Bay at home tomorrow.

Fire Rick Hahn.

I don't think the Sox had a five game win streak in 2020 either although I don't remember for sure.

We had multiple 5+ game win streaks that year and a 10-1 stretch that basically made the playoffs for them.
