  • Removed @Chicago White SoxS reply because when placed next to each other you can see how caulfield is arguing against himself.

  • “They said we would never trade assets for a pitcher we just declined to get an asset for because we were scared he’d sign, and now we’ve checked that box” - Hahn, August 2nd 2022 (rodon wou

  • Hahn would love to trade for Rodon. He’s the stock trader who sells at $40 and rebuys at $60.

I don't think he's bad or anything, but I feel like we should aim higher.

He doesn't get lefties out well and he walks 4.2 per 9. I wonder just how much Detroit is asking for Chafin if we're asking around about Givens.

Hasn’t this been a thing all week?

Looks like Rodon is gone based upon the postgame reactions.

The White Sox will add a bunch of bargain/second tier names but that's what got them in trouble this offseason.

Plus the bargain prices didn't exactly turn out to be bargains.  Only Cueto, Harrison and Graveman have been solid...with Cueto the only clear winning move.

White Sox refusing to take back Madrigal in package holding things up lol.

He was shaking hands after a job well done. Nothing indicated he expects to be traded.

Givens would be fine, but it's frustrating seeing the Sox linked with players they could/should have just signed over the off-season.

Imagine the outrage if we traded for Rodon

I’ve always liked Givens and would be cool with acquiring if the price is reasonable.  He’s an upgrade over Ruiz, Foster, & Lambert.

Yep and he’s been great of late.

If they trade for him and give him Giolito's extension would be perfectly fine with that.

But that requires Montgomery Colas Vera...at least one if not two.

Rodon is going to opt out of his contract unless his shoulder explodes between now and the end of the season. Top 100 prospects don't get traded for rentals anymore, regardless of how good the player involved is.

I don’t mind walking that rate when you are at a 30% k rate and fine contact.

Got no problem with the move, but you know what?  Lambert has been pretty good.

ERA is great but peripherals suggest significant regression is coming.

He’s been better than pretty good since moving to the bullpen. An ERA and WHIP of near 1 since the move. Lopez has also been excellent since moving to the bullpen.

I truly don’t think you can take the PR hit on that one. It will look so so bad

That may be but boy it sure has been nice to see him and Davis Martin come up from the minors and really help when we needed someone to step up.

- Hahn, August 2nd 2022

(rodon would be a great get and expiring pitchers are a good idea given our farm)

So we trade for Rodon and he gets hurt and doesn’t opt out……………….that’s how I feel our luck would be.  I need about a 8-2 streak to get right

It’s going to look even worse if the Twins get Rodon and he kicks our ass twice in the last ten games

Not interested in anybody that can't fucking spell Michael correctly.

I mean … yes this is probably how it goes but not sure it goes much different anyway. Cease / Rodon is a real 1-2 punch though.
