Francona to me is the greatest manager of all time, how the f does he do it year in and year out. A lock for manager of the year considering they tried to sell and are still in a prime spot to win the central

I was livid when he was available, and the Sox needed a manager, and they just didn't think they needed him.

  • I just don't see how we can win the division without Tony in the dugout.     Said no Sox fan this century.

  • This will be tough but they really need to go 6-0 against the athletics and Rockies. With the twins and guardians about to play each other that would be huge.

  • It would, but also I don’t want hear any complaining about how unfair it is either. They did it that way this year because the backup should be a wildcard spot. Since it’ll be lower than the 6-seed…sh

3 games back with 20ish games is going to be difficult to overcome. Have to take 3 of 4 against them, maybe all 4

Win the next 3 games . 2 of 3, or better, in Detroit, that sets up a HUGE series against Cleveland.

5-4 Cle. Tepera in now.

Sox target cheap and stupid when looking for a manager. They waived cheap this one time since it was Jerry’s crony friend.

Terry having a coronary himself

Reminds me of that Billy Crystal film where he tosses the entire basketball team.

what the hell is going on with Kulpa

Yeah that's not good...

Every game is basically a must win for us now.

ANd if Cleveland goes on a run of wins like if they win today its 4 in a row, then the Sox can't even afford to lose 2 in a row during that stretch.

Will the Guardians ever lose again?

seems like the Guardians use the same 3-4 pitchers every night they play

That was quick

The Angels are truly awful besides Trout and Ohtani.

Can the lifeless Angels do anything against Clase?

Ball 1, ball 2, ball 3 would be nice

Mickey Moniak leads off. Better than Leury with a .534 OPS.

Yes but really its the Naylor grand slam game and the Engel dropped pop up in Baltimore.

Tied in the standings if we win those two games.

Sox need a good old fashioned 7-game winning streak ?

And if you break it down some more those 2 games came down to Yoan and Engel not making routine defensive plays.

They did sell.  Their own Sandy Leon to the Twins, and LHP Alex Young to the Giants.

Looks like the Sox need 15-6 or 14-7 (best case scenario) if the Guardians go 11-11 or 10-12.

That's also taking into consideration the White Sox need to beat the Twins/Padres and the Guardians can beat up on the Royals...the Rays and their battle for the AL East and position versus Toronto and Seattle is the only other issue to be decided, but definitely not likely to be playing as desperately as the Pads.

We're 3 1/2 games out.   We can easily pick about 15-20 games that we coulda shoulda won.

Guardians magic number is 20, and will go down by 3 their next win vs the Sox.

23 games left for them. 21 for the Sox.

Just that one?  This is a .500 team outside of this past strong week.
