November 4, 20223 yr Is there a significance to doing this now? not that I care about either of them for the roster I am just wondering if there is a significance to the timing?

I too was wondering this, since the active and 40-man rosters will be one in the same in a few days.
November 4, 20223 yr Just glancing over the 40 man, they could easily make room for 8-10 guys that need to be protected.

Not sure if Haseley has enough service time, and since he was once a fairly highly regarded prospect, I doubt he's been outrighted before. He may actually stay in the org.

We kept hearing but not seeing good things about Haseley. They might take him back.

Of my biggest Rick Hahn gripes, this right here is at the top of them. I understand he has his hands tied on a lot big $$$ issues, but his management of the 40/26 man roster is atrocious.

Haseley does not have the ability to reject. So he'll stay in the org. Not awful non-40 man insurance to have in Charlotte.

November 5, 20223 yr I keep reading this as “Crick/Haseley outraged” and it’s never any less confusing
November 6, 20223 yr Okay, now I understand my mistake. November 15th is the deadline to set rosters before the Rule 5. Sox have significant housekeeping to do imho.
