Lynn and Timmy stepping up for USA

Moncada and Robert propelling Cuba.

Eloy getting hits for DR.

Jose Ruiz with the win, .2 innings against DR for Venezuela

Nick Padilla with a win for .1 innings in PR win against Nicaragua

Nice showing for Sox players so far but the competition will be stiffer soon enough.

Yep. Even stiffer than the Spring Training competition ?

Hey, if we’re forced to watch him suck at his job, so is the rest of the world.

Eloy rips an rbi single in the 1st.

Yonder raving about how Eloy looks physically

109.8mph off the bat.

Watching Eloy pull line drives is a beautiful sight.

Manny hits one 437’?!

Eloy Ks in his 2nd AB.

Eloy with another single to left, this one a 104.6mph grounder that the IF couldn't corral.

Eloy is scorching the ball tonight

Teoscar Hernandez in on D for Eloy.  He ends his night 2-3, 1K, 1 RBI.  Hit the ball hard in all 3 ABs.

Safe to say this DR team is pretty good?

Maybe Juan Uribe's DR baseball academy will be a new pipeline of international talent for us lol

When was the last time Nelson Cruz played the field?

Nelson Cruz in RF for the first time in 5 years. Apparently he saw Eloy doing it and said "why not me?" ?

Nothing bad ever happens when he’s in the field

Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz score the winning runs in the walk off

Cuba vs Australia on

Moncada walk

Robert foul out

Edited by flavum

Moncada continues to punish baseballs for their misdeeds.

Robert gets the game tying RBI later in the inning on a groundout (100mph off the bat, if he'd only elevate the ball more...)

And in addition to our pair of Sox on the field, Team Australia and the booth are sending their respect and well wishes to Liam. Liam vs. Moncada/Robert definitely would've made for some interesting friendly fire matchups in this setting.
