In St Louis in his early career sure. In his better starts at Texas absolutely not. He topped out at 94-95.

Seems 93-95 was the previous norm...

  • For the record, I would love nothing more than this team to excel this year and make the postseason.

People act like the frustrations with the Sox are coming just from a 3-4 start, but its a lot more than that.  Its a decade+ of failure bubbling over.  We were promised a world series contender by Hah

  • Yep. Gamethreads are a trip.

Thought that was a no-doubter

This.

Unless I'm reading baseball savant incorrectly, his 4 seamer has averaged 93/94 MPH the last 3 seasons. Looks like his average 4 seam fastball this season is right around 93 MPH still.

Giants defense has been fun bad

His first year with us was his best velocity year with an average of 94 if your going to use that chart listed above.

Beni vL looks about like me vs anyone that has ever held a baseball.

Make em pay!

Another dumbass first pitch swing(and a bad one on a good pitch to hit) that goes for an out.  The guy can't get the ball over the plate... you need to force him to throw strikes... nah... just keep helping him out.

Nice first pitch outs, jeez. Andrus needs to elevate the ball or he’s going to be even more worthless.

That was a pretty good defensive play.

He just looks weak at the plate. Tons of ground balls or pop ups.

Andrus looking awful so far

His GB/FB ratio is crazy bad so far (clearly SSS).

Lynn is averaging 91.3 mph with the heater today.

Should have pulled the trigger on trading for Gleyber Torres!

It's way down from the 93 he averaged last year and his career norm is averaging somewhere between 93.5-94.6.

His command is the real culprit.  Keeps missing the glove by a foot

Couldn’t afford it

Let me highlight this part for you. Year....year...year. One game and a year.

Both are terrible.

Lynn's issue is location not velocity....maybe umpire

Yeah the low velo isn't as concerning as his erratic command.
