Kopech has the fallback of being a fantastic MIRP.  I’m not convinced he can’t start, but the inconsistency is frustrating 

already at 50+ pitches in 2.1 IP, so tired of it

Friend of a friend pitches for the Giants.  Been in their org for two years.  He’s at or near 30.  Had been with the Royals.  In his two years with SF he’s added 2-3 MPH to his fastball and developed a sinker.  Said the difference in analytics and instruction between the two orgs is night and day.  We hired from KC.
