When they start talking about it’s still early, we believe in this team crap, just remember, under JRs ownership, 4 other teams started the season 7-15. 1986, LaRussa got fired, came back to haunt us all. 1997, Terry Bevington last season. 2001, Big Hurt got inured, but they did ultimately win 83 that year, and 2018 when the lost 100. So as silly as it sounds, the playoffs are most likely already out of the question.

I was looking for that data, where did you find it?

Will just aggravate Moncada's back injury lol.

We supposedly moved on from Jimenez and Sheets in the outfield I thought?

That guy from St Rita went to play in Japan, so back to plan A.

Baseball Reference.

Things would be even worse with Vaughn blocked (forced to trade)  AND Benintendi deal.

Really think the entire team fed off Liam's emotions, dominance/competitive desire.

Lopez shakiness undermining the whole team... not that it should affect players but psychology or mindset of a team is critical.

Everyone also knows Giolito's and TA7's days with the team are numbered.

They will eventually succeed with another organization lol... 3-5 years from now.

Meatballs are the fans for believing every year that one of the rookies will actually hit the ground running with a seamless transition to the big leagues.

Saint Louis Cardinals fans say hi.

Year - Round Drafted Player (IS = International Signing)  (Age - Round Drafted - Rookie Season bWar)

  • 2022 - (7) Brendon Donovan (25 - 4.2)
  • 2021 - (1) Dylan Carlson (22 - 3.1)
  • 2021 - (IS) Edmundo Sosa (25 - 3.1)
  • 2020 - Owner cancelled season
  • 2019 - (6) Tommy Edman (24 - 3.9)
  • 2018 - (3) Harrison Bader (24 - 3.4)
  • 2018 - (1) Jack Flaherty (22 - 3.2)
  • 2017 - (38) Paul DeJong (23 - 2.7)

Cardinal rookies each season exceed the production of nearly every White Sox veteran on an annual basis.

This is what happens when you have quality drafting in player development as a bedrock to your pipeline. And you pay these players $700k, not the $10M plus Hahn pays for shitty DHs (Dunn, LaRoche, Encarnacion) and Corner OFers (Benintendi, Cabrera, Eaton 2.0, Pollock).

How come when you say Grinders with the Rays you mean good baseball players and when you say Grinders with the Sox it means players that suck but maybe can play multiple positions poorly??

Greg775?  Ed Farmer?

Jesus... Rays' pen like a knife through butter, Sox have pretty much just given up winning the game at this point. Acquiescing...

Getaway days are tough

Carlos Martinez Jr. had quite a solid run there after leaving Sox with a plethora of injuries.

Rangel Ravelo even contributed lol.

Jordan Walker now looks awesome.

McEwing must be elated to return to Cardinals' Nation.

Losing Luis Robert Jr. to the Sox and the Oscar Taveras tragedy has hardly derailed that franchise.
