It just seems almost everyone they call up has a baseball IQ like they were  just shown the sport the week prior.

Yup agree. All this BS talk like they know what's going on inside every players head and have this effort meter they shine on the players so they know it's not there is ludicrous. Despite losing

I'm just continually amazed how awful this is. To be worse in your "window" than when you were "tanking." And we seem to be the only ones who care.

Second base is a real black hole right now...

Starts with their truly awful developmental staff

Yep. It is so maddening and frustrating to see all these so called “talented” players make zero adjustments at the plate swing at all the heat but cannot recognize or lay off the slider or junk pitches thrown on the outside portion of the plate. Eloy and Robert are so terrible at this especially

dude eloy needs to be swinging at that garbage. it's a fucking 72mph hanger, who cares if it's a bit inside isn't that the fucking point of standing a billion feet off the plate with that stance?

and then gets jammed on a 92mph "fastball". what a fucking joke. can't cover any of the plate.

They’re going to have to fire someone in the next 7-10 days if this goes the way it seems.  I’m thinking Katz or Hahn.

If anyone, we know it will be Katz because Hahn is untouchable.

Since Iguchi and Durham...

Maybe Semien could have helped a bit there?

Hahn can’t fix 2B to save his life.

and DH, and SP, and RP and RF and SS. Other than that, we're good.

Eloy is back to losing his battle against the .200 line.

bassit is just throwing straight junk outer 3rd to every righty and it's the 3rd time through and our fucking "professional hitters" still haven't noticed.

He looks fastball every pitch.  He’s admitted that

My vast mlb the show experience tells me that is a poor approach

Nobody will be pacified by that move though.  The barbarian horde is at the gates.

Dallas Keuchel was DFA’d after:

8 starts for Sox in 2022,
2-5, 7.88 ERA, 32 innings, 49 hits, 6 HR, 20 Walks, 0.323 batting avg.

Lance Lynn in 5 games:
0-2, 7.82 ERA, 25.1 innings, 34 hits, 7 home Runs, 13 walks, 0.318 BA

Feels like Colas has been ice cold, since the game winner many moons ago.

Colas gets an absolutely horrible hanger and pounds it into the ground.

It’s felt that way for a long time.

Throw the ball inside at Colas hands he swings 100% of the time, weak ground ball.

I will never understand why they had him focus so much in ST on pounding the ball on the ground the opposite way.  I know CaliSox expressed the same concern.

Maybe they have one but aren’t executing, but it sure looks like most of these guys don’t have a plan when they come to bat. I am not too impressed with the new hitting coach yet.

Every baseball fan in America needs to switch to being a Rays fan for just this year... like that 2001 Mariners season.

Who doesn't love a classic underdog story?

Who will it be because a statement firing has to be made!!

Nothing has changed from last year.  If anything, seems they hit more warning track fly balls last season.  This year’s team just has awful talent.

Hahn still has scape goats within the organization to save his own ass (Katz). I’ve lost all confidence that the Sox will see a new GM only until either Jerry dies or this team is sold.

Once they escape Chicago, they seem to play much better.
