I believe what is different this time are two factors:

1. He covered a short stint and knew it was ST, this could be season ending.

2. He only played a half season total in his career before playing everyday starting in mid-May. With his hot start this year, teams have focused / prioritized attacking him, and will continue to be successful until he is able to successfully implement counter adjustments.
