What have you seen with this club, that would give you ANY indication that this medical/training staff is competent in the least?

I saw all I needed to see when Luis Robert was swinging with one fucking arm last season... This organization is a joke top to bottom. There's absolutely no reason to believe the training and medical staff are the exception to this.

What have you seen from any players that makes it seem like they give a s%*#? Suddenly in a contract year he decides to change his approach? Are you suspicious at all? I'm not giving anyone a pass in the organization. 

Reality is it's probably both. 

Interesting thought Magglio Ordonez was vilified here for not using the team doctors in his final year of a contract. Most posters actually believed he should have trusted the team physicians even though he was never going to play for the Sox again. 

Could you image that argument today?

The White Sox have been having issues with medical, training, conditioning people for decades. Remember KW holding his press conference and using part of it to defend the medical staff after "Shouldergate" and the charges from Sirotka?

Magglio's issue is a little different, I think. If I remember correctly, he wanted to use a enriched platelet therapy that was illegal in the US at the time, but legal in Europe.  It was a therapy widely used at the time by soccer stars, but not used at all over here.  He turned out to be right, but what are the Sox doctors supposed to do.  Magglio ended up winning a batting title, and the Sox won a world series, so maybe it was for the best.

He also re-injured himself and was out for the majority of 2005.  I believe the Tigers tried to void the contract that year but were unsuccessful.   He seems like a good dude and he's matured since than.

I said back in November that the Sox needed to trade Eloy and go with Burger/Sheets as the DH combo. Saves salary and stashes your backup 3B and backup 1B on the roster.

He went to Europe for a microfracture and platelet rich plasma insertion for his knee. None of which was legal in the US at the time. 

Not to mention his better playing through chemistry that didn't make Thomas or the team happy.

That, and getting paid before you accomplish anything. There are tons of specimen types without that elite drive that will probably stop playing and preparing hungry.
