Andrew Vaughn 228/678

another homer (10) and 6 rbi's

slam dunk they let Hoskins go and keep Vaughn for next year at this rate

Yep.  They will owe Hoskins a $4 Million buyout. I have no idea what arbitration will say about Vaughn's salary for 2026.

Gio this year + ReyLo last year is softened a bit by Quero and hopefully Bush.

The rebuild hitters (outside of bratwurst-fueled Vaughn) aren't painful to watch, but damn if it doesn't hurt seeing Crochet-Giolito-Reynaldo-Rodon-Cease, let alone Chris Sale.

And Kopech was the most hyped of all…in many ways, at least in terms of being the centerpiece of the rebuild with Moncada.

Not the first communication issue Liam has voiced with Boston. Early in the season he said he didn't like not knowing his role/usage. Then he got injured shortly after being asked to cover a two inning outing, which he said he had been told in ST wouldn't be asked of him.

The injury was initially diagnosed as a hernia, but after a setback in rehab is now being called an abdominal strain.

He always did have a way with words:

Soroka starting tonight for the Cubs against the Reds.

Playoff implications for both teams.

We will find out what he's actually  made of at this point in his career.

Hows a hurt shoulder sound? Cubs really flubbed the trade deadline.

Still doesn’t change the fact that Getz got crap back for him when he had more value.

Cease shouldn't pitch against the Dodgers again this season.  Except with King out, might not have a choice.

He has a psychological issue now facing LA...almost...like Contreras against Boston after he signed with the Yankees.
