Crochet needs a 3rd pitch.  Why do they continue to think pitchers can get away with facing the opposite handed hitters without one.

Maybe just maybe it will cause them to slow him down a bit.  Pushing him as hard as they are is insane and everyone knows it.

I don’t feel bad for the Sox as every metric showed Maldonado would cost the pitchers strikes.

But not a huge velo difference between slider and cutter/sweeper.

 

Love all this talk about Fletcher's defense but he still has to be up in the mid 700s as a hitter.  Maybe you can get away with less bat in center but overall profile still more of a 4th or 5th outfielder.

Won't a work.  If everything is straight or going in to righites its a recipe for disaster vs good right handed hitting teams 

All SP, not just Crochet, really need a change, splitter, or two seam to ride away from opposite handed pitchers

Pedro was right about Maldonado. He said he wasn't a .180 hitter, and he's not. He's an .080 hitter.
