KW open to returning to baseball

Tired of being home with the wife, huh?

I will instantly become a fan of any team that hires Kenny Williams to run their organization.

That is an interesting statement.

That struck me upon reading it. No love lost, I guess. Getz probably was in Jerry's ear for a while.

Just keep waiting by the phone KW.

Married to Zaraida used to be neighbors.

Maybe some team wants a FO dude who will barrel into the war room and order scouts to draft his favorite college DH at #3.

I wonder if KW came out with this because something is already in the works. He can sit right next to LaRussa. Getz can then rubber stamp things.

Well he's miles better than our last two GMs. Not saying much though. I would say he should hire Hahns PR firm if he does get back in.

Right or wrong, Getz was certainly the snitch who got it Jerry to finally make a change.

Yep.  The thread title should be updated to:

“KW open to returning to baseball; no teams open to hiring KW”

Where the follow-up "Hahn considering a return to baseball/sports management" puff piece?

Huh? Oh no. No. No today. No tomorrow. No next week. No next month. No next year.

I've wondered whatever happened to Hahn after he was let go.

Yea, I will always respect the guy for what he was able to do here. He wasn't the best GM, but he was far from the worst.

That said, dude is now 60 himself and I'm not sure he's got anything left in the tank given how long he's been playing ping pong upstairs with Michael Reinsdorf and crew.
