Stone hasn't been a good partner in a long time as an announcer.  He's short, he's combative,  and if he doesn't feel like it, he refuses to do his job and fill time.  Gordon Beckham has been a way better partner as he is willing to fill the air when John asks questions,  and tell stories when the situation dictates.

Yep, and when Stone Pony isn’t being a dick to and trolling his partner, he is being the ultimate company man.  As big of a homer Hawk was, he would still get upset about stupid plays and call out dumb baseball.  The Legend hasn’t called out a team since the 2004 Cubs.  He learned to fall in line after losing that gig for his comments and has become the ultimate company man with the Sox under Jerry.

Can't stand either one of them. Haven't watched a game in weeks because they are so bad. They are worse than the team is.

Soon the 10% will be 10% of zero. Team is trash. Announcers are just par for the course with this franchise of steaming garbage.

Never liked him when he was with the Cubs and didn't change when he moved over.

He's just so smarmy.  He's got a voice that just makes you want to clock him.

We'll just have to agree to disagree with Stone. It could be so much worse than him.

I agree Gordon has gotten Alot better. He will probably be Stone's replacement when he retires.

This is confirmation they are playing for the top pick in 2026 They will then lose the lottery. I do laugh at Brooks saying they want their ticket holders making money on the secondary market.  If that’s true, why do they throw tickets on there and compete with them?

10 percent off next year but they probably raised prices in 22 and 23 so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Saying anything else would have been a lie

It could also be so much better.

I have 0 respect for season ticket holders (unless its for their business or w/e)

Good that the Schriff will be back. Just last night he was telling us how great of an offensive season Nicky Lopez was having, and on a fly ball to right , said it was a fly ball to left. There's been 3 or 4 times recently he didn't know the score.

Note to Brooks. Hire a PBP guy that gives the listeners credit enough for knowing they are watching a baseball game.

I'm curious to see what the price renewals look like for the 100 level bowl seats.

When companies say "an average of 10%" there is almost always fuckery a foot.

They probably drop the pricing on the s%*# seats in 500 level no one buys anyway by like 15-20% and then the 100 level only 3% to get their fake 10% number.

Comments like what Brooks told the Sun-Times makes me wonder if the organization even watches the games/broadcasts.

Not sure why personal respect would play into it,  but Some of those tickets are family tickets that generations have used.  No shame in that.  These people want those tickets past the reinsdorf era

If his son or other family takes over, when will this be?

I’m just giving the reasoning not the end of the story
