That being said, just give those at bats to guys already in the org (Sosa, Baldwin, Amaya, etc.).  Colson will factor into the infield mix by June too.  

By the way, does anyone know what happened to Braden Shewmake?  After getting demoted early the season, he played of a bit in Charlotte, hit the IL and never heard an update rest of season.  Kinda weird.  

Shewmake injured his ankle in spring training, and was supposed to miss opening day. He came back miraculously quick. Maybe it just gave out in June, and that was it.

Why in God's name would we want Lux at SS for two years before losing him after arbitration runs out?

The Dodgers reliably prove where guys like Grandal Vargas and Peralta do and don't belong on the field, but we just disregard their findings because the Sox have such a good record with fixing players defensively.

Sure Lux over Amaya at SS.

Likely they already are targeting Montgomery for third and don't have an internal replacement (Baldwin more utility guy), but the main point would just be turning around and flipping Lux for a prospect at some point after his value had magically bounced back to a higher point again.

Definitely sounds like a terrible Getz acquisition, just like the majority of his others, so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it happens.  I’m sure Lux’s bat would boom moving from LA to the Sox, just like Vargas.  🤣

Nicky has value but not on a team like the White Sox. I could see a contending team in need of a late inning defensive player/base runner/ spot starter.

Yeah if that all happened, you’re looking at around 250 losses over 2 seasons. Might be the case trading Crochet and Robert in good deals regardless.
