Maybe Jared Kelly can reinvent himself as a catcher.

Or as a pitcher.

The A’s are finally spending.  The Sox are the new A’s.

Fisher very much needs to get back into the good graces of MLB so he can move his team to Vegas for real.

He's in a position where he should take on Montgomery from Arizona, hope he rebounds and opts out, and rejects a QO. Get a prospect out of it potentially.

Just looked at his numbers. 0 WAR through 64 games.

Yep, they must be hoping he gets back to his 2022 and 2023 numbers when he was really good.

I found it amusing to think that they're hoping Jose LeClerc could get to where he was 23 seasons ago.

The Jose Leclerc Oath: First, do no harm. Second, do no good either.

Will Klein is available now due to the LeClerc push to get the A's payroll up to $105 million...

11.05 career mlb ERA, would seemingly fit right in

That makes no sense to me. No way a replacement level player could reasonably be expected to produce equivalent numbers: 3.42 FIP, 12 K/9, 0.9 HR/9, 7.6 H/9. His walk rate is high, but it’s not that high imo (4.3). At any rate, seems like a good bet to produce better results (4.32 ERA). If a pitcher could be relied on to put up those numbers he wouldn’t be a replacement player

0 WAR should be considered harm since it theoretically results in .294 winning percentage. As I said in my previous post, I don’t see how he could be 0 WAR though

Justin Anderson put up 0.5 WAR for our Sox in 13 less innings. Comparing numbers, someone explain how possible:

Anderson: 53.1 IP, 4.22 FIP, 8.1 H/9, 0.8 HR/9, 5.4 BB/9, 9.6 K/9, 1.5 WHIP, 4.39 ERA

LeClerc: 66.2 IP, 3.42 FIP, 7.6 H/9, 0.9 HR/9, 4.3 BB/9, 12.0 K/9, 1.32 WHIP, 4.32 ERA

It happened. Ricketts used the old JR line on the Cubs fans . We just try to break even every year.

Dearest fans, we run this team as a charity, for you.

Doesn't he also own half the neighborhood from the proceeds of that charity?

Yep. The cash registers are ringing almost 24 hours a day during the season.

Almost as bad as Jerry…

He’s a JR with the Bulls owner. Will spend money to a point. Luxury Tax is a big line in the sand. He may go a few thousand over, but that’s about it. NBA is different. The teams that don’t go over split the tax money. If they did that in MLB, Ricketts would never be near the line.
