Not even sure who plays LF now

Vaughn

Jokes aside maybe they start to give Brooks some looks in left. He played some OF in the minors albeit it was mostly right

Vargas to LF, Ramos to 3B?

That would make sense but Ramos may not be healthy enough yet.  The Sox also have some weird obsession with playing Vargas at 3B.

There is such a thing as karma, the baseball gods for years have been shitting on this franchise and there can only be one reason given that the G.M.'s have changed, the managers have changed and the players have changed.

It is as good an explanation as any.

I'll take the Karma of that World Series Championship.

Not a bad idea. Until Vargas plays himself out of the lineup.

I have a feeling Ramos starts off on the IL

Maybe I only saw the lowlights last year, but wasn’t Vargas like Sheets level bad in LF?

He’s bad everywhere

You know we have hit rock bottom when people are mourning the loss of Andrew Benintendi.

The Sox have enough guys in camp to fill the hole for a few weeks.  It will be interesting to see who makes the team who may not have before the injury.

It never ends and won't until new ownership arrives. Is this the same hand he had issues with two years ago?

His trade value has just been flushed right down the toilet.

Hamate

Gallo suddenly has a chance to make it. Maybe not though since you’d have to add him to 40-man.

DeLoach Julks Colas Fletcher their best LF options at the moment.

Probably move Slater Tauchman Taylor over though.

Or Gallo.

We talked about Baldwin Vargas Ramos playing LF as well.

Vaughn back to lf, Elko to 1B lol.

Hate to see anyone get hurt, etc. etc.  But this does create much-needed room and the Sox have a lot of players to audition.

I’d look for a DFA outfielder over all of these bums, lol.

Possible since I don't think he's starting throwing yet.

Definitely, won't be the hamate this time as they remove the hook when it's fractured  usually the non-displaced fractures are usually one of the metacarpals. Not exclusively but usually.

Ramos? Vargas?

The regular season starts in exactly a month for the Sox.  4 weeks means he still needs a rehab stint to round back into shape, which probably pushes him out to mid-April on the low end, beginning of May on the high end.

If only we didn't have too much talent to add Canario

Yeah, figuring out how to add him to 26-man would have sorted itself out quickly.

His hand has been a issue every since he got here

I saw this transaction earlier today.  Was this @CaliSoxFanViaSWside’s favorite or yours?  I can’t remember for sure, but I seem to remember Cali wanting to add outfielders Garrett and Outman in the past.  Worth a shot, although the dude is already 29 now.  But he has definitely shown more with the bat than Colas in the majors.

I still would have dumped Fletcher for Canario and I hope Getz is still watching to see if the Mets end up DFA’ing him.  Canario has age on his side at only 24, and the Sox definitely have at bats to give with Benintendi out for a month plus.

Just like I posted last week, which was obvious.  I am no Nostradamus.  ST injuries happen all the time and ST just started afterall.  This is not hindsight.
