If Will Venable doesn't win Manager of the Year there should be an investigation....and no I do not think it's too early to declare that.

Grady Sizemore helped to change the mood around the team as well...and, of all things, fans booing when they weren't losing enough games in the final six weeks and Benintendi getting pissed off for the first time as a member of the Sox, finally showing some emotion.

Where is Grady now? If you know, that is.

Haven't seen this many fights in the bleachers in a long time, excluding Cub games. Walked out if the bathroom and had to hit the ground as fists were flying and security taking down people.

Was a great game to be at otherwise. Lots of fun.

What matters is that everyone was in the right place at the right time and a rookie manager showed a proclivity to make timely accurate moves. Might as well keep it going on Saturday and see what happens. This squad is no longer on suicide watch.

He's the "Offensive Coordinator."   That might be in the major league dugout, but I think he'll be all over the system during the course of the year, especially AAA/AA/Winston-Salem and then working with Braden and Wolkow a lot.

I think every team has a minor league coordinator, but this is more focused on hitting apparently, which is interesting since Grady was always well known for his defensive skills as well.

White Sox really need a defensive specialist like Rusty Kuntz in KC.  It most definitely was NOT Daryl Boston.

That would be fine, too.  (Or Iguchi to start establishing connections with NPB.)

I'm more concerned with the minor leaguers learning proper outfield defense at this point...the big league veterans pretty much are what they are, although Benintendi seems like he has room for improvement based on the last couple of years and previous GG.

Brian Anderson if going for a Sox connection? or Adam Engel?

Isn't Anderson at Northwestern now?

Or he was an assistant there but got passed over for the head job?

He wasn't exactly the most disciplined as a player, not sure how that would translate into coaching.

Anderson joined Northwestern as an assistant coach in 2023.

Brian Simmons that used to work with Bulls/Sox Academy might be a better choice.

Only one game but hopefully a sign of a halfway decent season, you never know what’s going to happen but when a team starts believing in themselves good things can happen.

Today was my 55th  straight Opening Day. They're always more fun  when the White Sox win. I'm hoping Montgomery and Teel or Quero are brought up and if they produce this team could really be good.

Did you have your name on the video board? I saw one that said keeping the streak alive with #55, or something like that

Every time I sit there, there is a fight. There is way too much drinking, hormones and roid raging going on in that section😂

Rusty Kuntz is 70 years old now....wow, time flies.  He was the Royals' 1B coach as recently as 2021, but pretty sure he's retired now.

Konerko Getz Kuntz!

Other than a bit of sloppiness early it was a clean game all around. Keep it going.

That’s what I noticed too. The pitching was great and they executed today. Play fundamental ball and make some plays and this team could go over 53.5 wins.
