April 14 is 171 days before October 2. Seems like a great day to make the move, with the Sox having an off day that day before a home series against the A's.

Of course, making a move exactly on that date could look shady.

Oops. I asked AI what was 171 days before Oct. 2. Can't trust it even for that evidently

Fvk Ishbia. Some treat him like some sort of potential savior of the franchise . Oh sure, he is going to do you as a fan some sort of favor by casting aside personal gain and private equity principles to gamble money on enormous player contracts.  You think he is some kind of gaddamn fool?

How did his probing for a majority ownership stake work out for Minnesota fans? In reality this guy  is just looking for another deal to make himself wealthier.  As Americans, we should all know by now that immense greed is a disease that spreads quickly among the billionaire class. You know a lot of these guys by name.

And 99.9% of the White Sox fan base would still rather take a chance on him vs what we have had for the last 45 years.

Kind of hard to find a buyer who isn't a billionaire so it's basically a moot point

But Jerry has proven he has no problem spending money over the years so why even try another billionaire?

Replacement depth when Jankowski is DFA’d.

I could see Jankowski staying with AAA. he told Chuck he had been talking with Venable (his former teammate) all offseason, long before Beni got hurt.

very briefly ST teammates. but more together in Texas as player/coach

I can see that happening just because no other team would want Jankowski.  🤣

Are we even sure he’s the one they get rid of?

If he isn’t, it’s proof that he’s the teacher’s pet.

Getz needs to make the move regardless as he is the GM, not Venable, and Jankowski is obviously the worst outfielder currently on the roster.

It would be nice if for once in the last decade a Sox GM tells the stupid manager what to do and takes some ownership.

I guess we should find out soon, perhaps by tomorrow.  It would make sense to cut an outfielder with Tauchman being activated.
