Sox at Guards

Poor Shane Smith, should be 2-0, instead he plays for Jerry's Chicago White Sox.

Shane Smith has produced more fWAR today than Andrew Vaughn has in his entire career.

  • Let’s be honest, the closest feeling we’re going to have to winning a World Series in the next decade or so is if a new owner takes over this team and announces they’re staying in Chicago.

You really have to consider all the positive changes Getz has made in the org tho.

I'd cut Clevinger if he is afraid to challenge anyone....horrendous effort

Gotta say, the pitching was excellent today until Clevinger choked it up in the 9th.  Second time already this season he's blown a great pitching outing by losing 1-0.  Sox had 2 opportunities to score with no outs and squandered both.  It was all pitching today.  Would've been nice if the Sox had scored a couple.  Anyway, happy about the pitching except MC (again).

The game in general is a huge net positive, as let’s be honest, out of everyone on the field in a Sox jersey, the only one likely still here in 3 years is Smith.  He did great…but doesn’t mean we can’t bash the offense and Clevinger.

Get out the pitchforks and brooms.

3-22 here they come again.

That's crazy. Too bad the commish has his head up his ass

Why crazy, their attendance will be a total joke and their television deal has been a flop.   You really think they will backfill the salary of Robert and Vaughn?

Ownership change needed. Just look how fast the commanders turned it around.

The Sox

The cowboys

The pirates just an example of bad ownership

I’ve already started hearing whispers about payroll getting slashed again.

Wouldn't that violate the minimum wage laws?  Maybe they could list the players as a tip salary

Can it really go any lower?  We are already in the bottom five teams in lowest payroll…

https://sports.yahoo.com/article/mlb-payrolls-2025-full-list-113230629.html

Pittsburgh Pirates, $87,645,246

Chicago White Sox, $82,279,825

Tampa Bay Rays, $79,216,312

Athletics, $73,118,981

Miami Marlins, $67,412,619

So maybe Clevinger is not the next Eckersley

Look, for 25 of the 26 players on the White Sox roster,  I would love to see them succeed, despitethe odds.  The 26th gives me joy to see him fail.

Nothing will change until there's new ownership. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Pirated spending more than the Sox lol

Why can’t minority owners kids be friends with good players?

The party's are too lame.

That's not going to pass Congress at this rate...

There really is zero purpose for having him on the top.  He looks like a complete douche.

Baseball needs an unluxury tax where owners are penalized for not spending 200 million.

Is that Jerry giving a thumbs up to Getz in his office?  Did Getz make another trade for cash considerations right after the game?

It goes that way for fans as well.  Another WSox World Series in my lifetime.......probably not gonna happen. I fear JR will live to be 108 and still in control

But living to 100 or beyond is no longer crazy, especially for a billionaire.  Imagine 10+ more years of this s%*#.

Not going anywhere with two hits. Putrid.
