If you have the lead, shouldn’t you put in Amaya :)

  • Must be nice to have no idea what you’re doing and just blame it on a “rebuild”.   This rebuild is in a worst place than when Getz took over.

  • Yes, but the unsuccessful dinglehopper was hired specifically cause there was no time to lose with a classic rebuild, then he immediately was telling people that they could compete in a woeful divisio

  • Sorry, I'm gonna keep going because the team on the field is such a walking embarrassment that Getz deserves to be roasted over a volcanic flame. Acting like he's the first GM to have their hands

1) I don't want Amaya on the team
2) I also want Palacios gone
3) Robert is doing so bad, his OPS+ is one lower than Palacios'
4) Tauchman is better than Palacios
5) I note that Maton hasn't done much of anything
6) f*** it. Start Dalbec at shortstop, just to keep Amaya off the field

Why won't he say the same things we do? I mean, we make fun of him and everything!! LOL.

So you're explaining in six points how you reached your conclusion of endorsing Dalbec to start at shortstop, and you reached that conclusion because of the other names you listed have been so bad, like Amaya, Palacios, Tauchman, Maton....

I think you're sort of missing the bigger point that Ray, and others have been trying to make. The issue is those are the choices they have to make. These are the players and roster decisions made by Getz, and because of those decisions, the 2025 White Sox are starting a 30 year old at SS with a career -0.7 WAR, who in over 2000 MLB innings, has played 26 innings at the position.

Yes, we know this a "rebuild" so you can save that reply for another day. But after setting the major league record for futility last season, most us feel some slightly better options would be appropriate.

Luis Robert is officially, and very firmly, in the Moncada, TA, and Eloy category. All hope is lost.

I stand by my point that a better org takes these guys (while they were still young and developing) and absolutely crushes it.

All because they were dead set on rushing Colson to the majors, despite his terrible 2024 and all sorts of red flags from scouts.

The bigger point everybody is trying to make is they hate Chris Getz, and they're besides themselves that everyone they encounter doesn't parrot the words in their heads. It's really that simple. And you can save the "we're sad because baseball guys are losing" trope for another day. It is a rebuild.

“They are all replacement level players!!!”

“It’s a rebuild so they are supposed to set the record for losses two years in a row!!!”

Take your pick.

They are below replacement level besides Tauchman

I even made the meme for them.

The irony that Keaschall looks like the best hitter on either team in this series (and yes, I know he wasn’t included)

Yes, but the unsuccessful dinglehopper was hired specifically cause there was no time to lose with a classic rebuild, then he immediately was telling people that they could compete in a woeful division like the AL Central.

Before you say that he's hired brilliant baseball minds that are buying into his Master Plan, that's basically become the new the money will be spent. Until tangible results happen at 35th and Shields, they're currently on track for the two worst single season record in MLB history. Getz is on track to be the worst GM in history.

People aren't sad. They're angry cause a guy with no bona fides got put in charge after he was part of the problem and he's continued to show that he was indeed part of the problem.

I know.  I’m just stating what one poster likes to use as a defense, even though it isn’t true.

That's actually being quite generous

Sure. Everybody hates Chris. What a delusional bullshit post.

Picked him up on my fantasy squad, he looks solid.

Of course you just know he’ll end up being the player we want Meidroth to be and better, just because they are the Twins and we are the White Sox.

He’s a bigger prospect than Meidroth

True, he always was.  I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise if he is.

Chris Paddack is freaking terrible.

What's funny is I've actually met and hung out with Getz on multiple occasions. He's an entertaining fun guy. In no way do I hate him personally.

I hate him as the GM of a baseball team because he simply isn't qualified for the job. Nothing more to it.

Sorry, I'm gonna keep going because the team on the field is such a walking embarrassment that Getz deserves to be roasted over a volcanic flame.

Acting like he's the first GM to have their hands tied in the history of the sport is laughable. The Rays, Orioles and Guardians are infamously miserly and succeed, in large part due to their farm system. Sox couldn't get anything from theirs - and guess who was in charge of it? I don't want to hear that he had his hands tied blah blah blah, because then his entire hiring process just makes him out to be a conniving little weasel whispering in Jerry's ear that "if only Kenny and Hahn are gone, THEN I can do my job!"

He's a walking, talking peter principle. When you look at his career holistically, he can't scout. He can't trade. He can't develop. He can't sign free agents. He can't hire.

He's so desperately clinging to the guys from the Crochet deal (which any GM should have nailed) after botching the Cease deal. He's banking on Hahn's last acquisition in Quero.

I'll actually give him developing Sosa. Sosa finally looks like a win.

Pitcher throws 9 out of 10 balls and Robert swings at the first pitch ( a ball).
