bmags Posted April 29 Share Posted April 29 One thing I find interesting is how even as I held Vaughn in low esteem as a below average first baseman, it is remarkable just how the longer a player is in the white Sox the worse they get. He's been getting some player wins with the young guys. Wouldn't hurt to try for 1 more. It isn't a loss if Vaughn is sent down. You can call him back up if Elko flops and he shows he can hit again which shouldn't be that hard for him in Charlotte. Maybe that WTP becomes HRP down there . I'd love to see how many guys, 3rd overall pick or not, approached 2.5K PA of below replacement production. Usually you don't get that long of a leash. When Vaughn is up I'm more likely to grab a beer than anything related to watching him. That said, I do think the FO thinks he's a bit of a fan favorite. Undersized white guy, resonates!
