Williams no td’s in 2 games not the long term answer.

Yeah I’m not holding out much hope. We’re stuck with him though, atleast for a couple more seasons.

  • Honestly, rest of the playoffs are gravy. I will be disappointed when/if they lose, but they LOST 10 IN A ROW LAST SEASON. I'm all about making the most of your window, but they just won a playoff gam

  • Caleb sucks am I right?

  • Oh no. The football team I love might lose a playoff game gtfoh.

Caleb Fields.

Hey, a Loveland sighting!  Loveland over Tyler Warren.  Awful.

The special team coverage on kick offs is atrocious

Sucked in all 3 phases of the game

Fields was a way more dynamic runner, Caleb a better passer. Caleb needs to play looser, he looks scared.

These penalties are so bad

Bears getting called for everything, Hopkins face mask on 3rd down no call

That missed offensive PI call on Hopkins was huge. Cost the Bears the ball back.

Stopped up the middle but you still have all the time in the world to run it in a half circle to the right.  Ridiculous.

Bears offense is still poor. A lot of it falls on Williams but don't forget Loveland's utter stupidity on the first drive with the false start penalty inside the Baltimore five yard line. Instead of (maybe) an opening drive touchdown they settle yet again for a field goal.

That was just an atrocious final drive

Williams have a game

Absolute master class in clock management there.

Caleb outplayed by a third string QB. When the hell is he going to show something?

The patience asked of bears fans is insane.

Fields actually had a good game and just eked out a win against the Bengals.

Maybe when he's in another organization? (The McCaskey effect remember...LOL)

At this point, we should have expected more development from Caleb. Regardless of this being his first year in the Ben Johnson system. Look at the plays that are called, it’s as if Ben doesn’t trust his quarterback. Can you blame him?

Actually, Caleb only looks good on the 1st 15 plays that BJ scripts and the couple of hero plays he sometimes makes.  Otherwise (after those plays were practiced ad nauseam during the week), Caleb relies on jailbreak.  He honestly looks worse than last year.

Agreed. And it’s so much worse now because we have the new, offensive minded coach.

I do want to acknowledge the challenge of Caleb needing to learn a new (and much more complicated) offense.

I’m willing to give it more time. And I’m even willing to accept that it probably needed to get worse before it can get better in terms of undoing everything from last year (great job Poles!).

But holy s%*#, please show something we can point to. Blind faith can only go so far.

There were a couple of us who advocated trading that pick for a haul once upon a time. I wasn't a Caleb guy in college. With that being said even I have more patience than some here. Year one in Ben's system. Offensive line still needs work cuz of Poles. Give it time.

But you just named the other problem.  Poles doesn’t deserve to be around and yet we have to hope he can fix things.  I really don’t want to watch him botch another draft.

Caleb's gotten worse since the bye. It honestly doesn't make a lot of sense. He didn't get pressured a lot today and he made mistakes when he had time and a clean pocket. He had a wide open check down for a first down on the interception he threw. He's still making way too many mistakes and he's still too inaccurate on a good amount of throws. It takes time to learn a new system and everything, but he's clearly headed in the wrong direction.

Swift needs to play more. He looks like their best player more often than not.

I did not understand why they went away from Swift so much this game. Maybe he's not fully healthy so they're load managing him? Monangai looked like a rookie. Swift had that one bad blitz pick up, but other than that, he was really good today and he was featured heavily in maybe 3 drives all game..

I think it’s load management, pretty sure he was on the injury report all week
