I know some people gripe over PFF grades, but this had me absolutely shocked.... Loveland is their 5th highest graded TE and Burden is their 14th highest graded WR.

I know they've looked incredible, but to have those grades back up what I've seen and know its not just my often rose colored glasses took me back a bit!

PFF is good for grading positions that you basically don't notice during the game. And I like to use it to get a basic understanding of some players I've never watched or heard of before, but if you dig into their QB grades, it all feels extremely subjective and sometimes the criterias make no sense. Caleb has had 2 games graded in the mid 40s this year. The Steelers and Commanders games. He threw 4 touchdowns in those 2 games and no picks. He got those grades because I think he had like 5 turnover worthy plays in those games. Did he get lucky not throwing picks on some of those throws? Probably. But this guy leads the league in INT% and has like 10 career interceptions in 2 seasons. At some point it's not luck. On the opposite end of the spectrum, he had 4 big time throws against the Niners and 0 turnover worthy plays. He played great on Sunday night. Everyone saw it. Surely that means he got an elite grade right? Nope, 75 passing grade. They somehow graded the miss to Loveland that Collinsworth kept complaining about a -2. That's the same grade as a bad turnover, which makes no sense. It almost felt like they had to make a big deal of it because the boss (Collinsworth) complained so much about it on the broadcast.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea behind PFF. Football needs more advanced analytics. But I can't help but feel that PFF sometimes does their grades a certain way to be contrarian to get people to talk about them or to please the guy who is their majority share holder.

  • Honestly, rest of the playoffs are gravy. I will be disappointed when/if they lose, but they LOST 10 IN A ROW LAST SEASON. I'm all about making the most of your window, but they just won a playoff gam

  • Caleb sucks am I right?

  • Oh no. The football team I love might lose a playoff game gtfoh.

He's been brutal this season but honestly.. with our injuries at DB and Al Harris did coach him last year... if he likes him, Bears should claim him.

I feel this is a jinx but still I can’t get over how high strung I was through October that Caleb may still not be the guy or Ben may not work

and it really felt like in that Eagles game I finally got to let go and watch football without the story lines of “is this the person that delivers me or should I keep one foot out ready to jump” and just got to enjoy watching bears football trying to win. To be sure, that was a lot of lovie era, just being annoyed we weren’t quite better but often just being in the moment. From Mitch thru Justin, it was extremely “can we believe yet”. Glad that’s over.

Can't afford to have offensive drives that get no points, Bears D just can't get off the field

#26 getting harassed.  The Lions know who the weak link is.

at this point it looks like any offense can push the bears down the whole field at will

What an ugly start to this game, that D gonna be gassed before halftime

Yeah

Billings wth

The Bears defense has been pathetic for weeks.

Just a terrible all around effort so far

They are getting owned.  Belt to ass.

St Brown against Bears all world everyone else pedestrian

The offense hasn’t done anything, but they haven’t had much of a chance with the lousy defense being played.

Have to get pass rushers in offseason at all cost

They play like this in the post season and it’s going to be curtains very early for this team. Not ready to pass any judgements as the defense hasn’t been THIS bad the entire year, but it’s trending in the wrong direction.

This entire upcoming draft should be 80% defense.

Every team has that achilles heel opponent that they struggle with. Ours is the Lions.

This is obvious, but their defensive line seems to be driven back and they lack a pass rush. If they play like they do today, they will be one and done in the playoffs.

Think this is the worst they’ve looked all year.

As much as I like Ben Johnson's aggressiveness and I know its his former team and Dan Campbell, but I would've took the 3 points. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

Same.

Gordon contract coming back to a huge mistake, got paid then wants to basically sit all year.

What a stinker so far
