Infield in that early in the game with a rookie on the mound who likely has a limited pitch count is stupid. This isn't the postseason.

Smith executed the pitches he needed to, which is the worst part. The defense just couldn't hold up and that led to a huge inning.

Smith got screwed by his defense that inning but he's got nothing right now. Finally used his changeup a few times against Busch and got what he needed. If he isn't feeling the changeup then he's dead meat because none of the other pitches are very good

He's got three pitches when he's on but the change and FB are too close in velo when he doesn't have the slider working well.
