  • The Sox aren’t moving to Nashville or anywhere. Nashville will get an expansion team or nothing.

I know it's still a process and we are likely years away from breaking ground. However, this should hopefully put an end to the "moving to Nashville" speculative nonsense.

I can't wait to see new renderings if and when they become available. I also can't wait for Ishbia to officially take over this franchise.

I wouldn't bet on this especially regarding certain posters who every week that goes by where they don't read or hear anything about the stadiums future immediately begin to post that they are hearing from "friends" the Sox are moving. 😆

Throw the opposing bullpen across the river. Make them boat across.

Kayaks in the river catching home runs.

Too similar to SF...need piranhas in the water against Twins.

On second thought...not the best idea.

Mechanical/robot alligators or crocs that swallow the HR balls would be fun.

This has been the dream since I was very little. The White Sox playing in an elite facility and environment as a real MLB team that can compete with the Cubs for attention. Mother of God.

Just the thought of it gives me goosebumps

This is going to be the White Sox home for the next generation or 2. Do it right! Think Jerry Jones, not Jerry Reinsdorf

Same with the "let's move them to Arlington Heights next to the Bears" speculative nonsense.

Here's an interview with Scott Merkin on Fox32. Not much new on the stadium situation, but he says Jerry told Roger Bossard this offseason that he wants to do this until he's 99.

We thought we were getting that when Reinsdork became owner, worst owner ever and him and Einhorn dissed Bill Veeck, Veeck had more class in his pinkie finger than those 2 jerks combined. Harry Caray had it figured out early with those guys.

A nightmare scenario for Sox fans. By that time this franchise will completely be D.O.A. if he is still around.

Luckily he doesn't have control that long.

Well, at least there’s an end date to look forward to. 2035 Sox fans. Rejoice!

Do what exactly? He doesn't fucking do anything but be a cheap asshole. Which...I guess is something.

JR has the controlling option to sell until 2034, when he'll be 98.

FYI a group at Marquette is currently running a survey on potential other tenants for The 78:

Chicago Fire Stadium Development Community Survey

We’re working on the development of "The 78" or new Chicago Fire FC stadium and the parcels directly north of it in the South Loop of Chicago.

This quick 2 minute anonymous survey asks what retail, food, entertainment, and public spaces you’d most like to see built right next to the stadium to make it an amazing destination on game days AND every day of the year.

Your feedback will be used in our university case competition to help design a vibrant, resident-loved activation zone for The 78. Thank you for helping build Chicago's newest neighborhood!

Technically they just made it bigger this year.

Which, unfortunately, does NOT bring all the boys to the yard, as judging by our near league worst attendance.

Edward Peck's Soldier Field proposal | The Chicago Report

I don't think the Bears are going to stay at Soldier Field, but who knows. It's cool seeing what Soldier Field could be. I wonder if the city would work with Ishbia to redevelop Soldier Field into a baseball park/ entertainment zone. The Bears can block another NFL team moving into Chicago and the Fire already have their new location, so Soldier Field needs a new tenant.

It's amazing how 100 loss seasons will do that. Damn fans!!!
