I don't watch the Chicago Cubs on tv, I sure as hell won't watch the Hammond Bears either.

I dont know why people here would preference Alrington Heights over Hammond. Neither are Chicago and Chicago barely seems to want them at this point.

Fun fact, you can still see the Chicago skyline from the entire Indiana shore line.

It's also about half as long to Hammond as it is to Arlington Heights from the Bears current stadium.

First choice Chicago Bears, second choice AH Bears, 3rd choice any other city in Illinois Bears

I don't want them to leave Chicago, Arlington Heights and Hammond are both inferior options. But if its happening I don't see why people are outraged they're moving to NWI. Its just inconvenient for people on the north shore and northwest suburbs, but they weren't thinking of us when it was going to AH. They'll always be the Chicago Bears regardless.

The Bears have a season ticket waiting list of 30 Years. If somebody drops there present season ticket plan there are thousands of people willing to buy them. They will sellout every game played in Indiana.

I said this is going to happen know matter where they move. You'd have people mad they're leaving Chicago if they moved to AH.

Isn't that almost every state? I've enjoyed most of every state I've visited. My last trip through Central Indiana was a big eye opener in a positive way.

New York survived the New Jersey takeover. Illinois and Chicago will survive this. But honestly anything other than Bear weather on the lakefront sucks in my mind. But football domes and Super Bowls are big sellers.

I'm reminded of an African proverb that Gwendolyn Brooks said at my college graduation, "when elephants fight, it's the grass that gets trampled." Guess who the grass is?

Giving up on the NFL or switching teams? Packers maybe? That would be an interesting dynamic shift if Chicago became Packer Country. It would serve the McCaskey 's well.

I don't gamble or play fantasy football; I do have to listen to my brother-in-law repeatedly tell in me in great detail how his fantasy football team is doing, I will just walk the earth waiting patiently for spring training.

The anti-education, anti-most people, pro-prison, and pro-pollution standpoints are rough. In general, it is nice to be in a very low tax, low cost state. My property taxes this year are under $1000.

Currently there are only 2 teams that I could never root for under any circumstances, the Cubs and the Packers. The Hammond Bears would expand the list to 3 teams.

The Night Chicago Died

Mayor Johnson didn't seem bothered by these developments in his statements a few days ago. My ultimate fantasy is to move the Cardinals from Arizona back to Chicago and have them play at Soldier Field. I can dream can't I ?

I was just thinking this ha not necessarily moving a team but if there was ever expansion.
