This guy sounds like a complete fucking idiot. We sure can attract them out to Comiskey.

It's everywhere.

I once had an email discussion with a writer from the Baltimore Sun who took a lot of flack for comparing Peyton Manning to Johnny Unitas.

The JR owned White Sox are a terrible organization but how can you blame the organization for what that cretin said.

Come on. This isn't on the White Sox.

  • Maybe we shouldn't do that. Maybe we shouldn't refer to human beings as "waste products" either. It's dehumanizing in a similar vein as this loser fan's actions; it doesn't make you better than him, i

I'm more sad than angry how many of these Sox players turned out.

There has to be a deep morale issue when you've seen these guys like Robert, TA just phase out. Sure there are injuries but going elsewhere seems to be uplifting.

Imagine what it was like for Vargas last year going from the Dodgers to the Sox.

The reality is most player don't like to get traded.  How many of you had a job transfer that you didn't put in for?

On the other side of things despite this incident Sox fans seem to honor former players giving them a standing O.    Didn't that happen with TA?  I still remember them giving Alexei a standing O.

Depends on the player. TA was cheered, Moncada was booed.

i wonder what Chicago catholic high school this fan attended

No shot this 22 year old kid knew that his mom died in a car accident 8 years ago (when he would have been 14). Hell, I didn't even know that until this happened.

The big thing here is to be careful about what you say to people, I know this resulted in him being thrown out and banned but man mouthing off to the wrong person about something you don't even know how impactful it is to them, recipe for disaster.

I always get on my wife when she rages in the car at another driver on the road for doing something stupid, you never know who is going to lose it and have a gun or follow you somewhere.

Yeah, don't be giving people the finger from the passenger seat.

Yeah, my wife is big about flipping off someone who cuts her off or drives like a maniac. I remember one time she flipped this car off and then they rode on our ass for a few lights. Its like dude, don't do that s%*# when me and the kids are in the car.

What does she do to you when you run your mouth?  🤣😉

He's a total moron. But exactly how are they going to ban him?

No idea, I bet they post his picture at every gate with a red circle and a line marked through it. That will probably work.

My sister gets upset and honks at people. I have told her the same thing you tell your wife.

There are cameras pointed at every section of the ballpark. It doesn't take long at all to run facial recognition software on the crowd and get pinged.

I've learned not to be that way since eventually I'm that same stupid driver I've rant about. You reap what you sow.

Shows you should never heckle about family members especially moms. Even if he didn't refer to her dying you gain nothing by going there with a mom comment. They should just make sure the guy is kept out of Comiskey the rest of this season and half of next season. And make him write a letter of apology to the player and make sure he emails it.

Turns out the kid said "i texted your mom last night" and we got a 3 day witch hunt.  The white knights are idiots.

Yeah this whole ordeal was stupid.

There is way too much monkee business going on at a barren Rate Field to actually think they have eyes on everyone, and to think they would make it someone's job to look for this guy, no way. It's just a token statement. No way they can enforce it, unless he shows up the next week and someone at the gate recognizes him, and even then, all they can do is throw him out.

This whole thing is way overblown. Ever sit in the bleachers at Wrigley? They would need to ban 50 fans per game.

Yeah, it's really not enforceable.  He'd be fucked as a season ticket holder, but otherwise he can just create a "burner account" for the At Bat/Ballpark app, which someone (kyle?) mentioned would be the only way to red flag him.

Yea the app and facial recognition cameras if they really want to enforce

While im sure this is never really news worthy and has happened, I can't recall ever seeing a story about a fan that got a lifetime ban being caught at a game again. Typically, the type of person that does something to get a lifetime ban isnt the type of person that says "Yep I messed up, ill just accept this punishment and never go again."

lol I want to follow up on that Yankee fan that ripped the ball out of Mookies glove in the WS.  I bet you money that dude has been to a game this year 😂

On one hand, this witch hunt is definitely excessive, especially given what the guy actually said. I also saw a bunch of posts online giving his identity and photo away, telling the internet to "do your worst". That's just not acceptable.

On the other hand, if this kid is a mouthy brat, this will be a good lesson with lower impact consequences than what could happen if he says the wrong thing to the wrong person.
