By the way the Sox have played 83 games so far, in 50 of them they have scored three runs or less. If I was Venable I would've challenged that play based on interpretation of the blocking home rule . Nothing to lose at that point in the game. A runner going full speed canot change direction in the middle of a slide nor correct his running path once the catcher steps into foul territory. He had to go around the catcher . Catcher was in the base path . He stepped into foul territory without the ball. I know fireworks was moved to Fridays, but that's no reason for moving up Saturday times. Should be night games IMO. We've had more day games this season than night so far, which is weird. I don't think they're being forced to by FOX, are they On that note, weeknight games should be 7pm, no need for 6:40 anymore now with the pitch clock. If 7:10 is too late, 7 on the dot would be fine.
